NEW COLUMN: Homeless In Seattle, Part 1: High-Tech Harm The Homeless

Business, Economy, Globalism, IMMIGRATION, Labor, Technology

NEW COLUMN is “Homeless In Seattle, Part 1: High-Tech & The Homeless.” It is currently on Townhall.com , The Unz Review and WND.com.

To expatiate on the subject of homelessness in Seattle, Tucker Carlson regularly invites on his Fox News show a Republican liberal who broadcasts out of Seattle.

Aside from a pastiche of liberal ideas, Sleepy in Seattle has nothing remotely perceptive or probative to say about homelessness in the Emerald City. Eventually, this young know-nothing will read this column and parrot it back to Tucker.

Then, perhaps, will Carlson’s viewers stop being gulled by Big Tech and the other multinationals who are exacerbating the problem of homelessness in Washington State.

For these stateless corporations are the major importers, into King County and the surrounds, of a high-tech, feudal elite that compounds the homeless quagmire.

If anything, the corporations who straddle the globe rely on immigration ignoramuses to perpetuate the single-cause theory of homelessness: addiction or mental illness.

However, even if drug addiction and mental illness are seen as necessary in causing homelessness, they are seldom sufficient. Substance abuse and mental anguish can, in themselves, be the consequence of other exogenous, existential and intractable circumstances.

Like being priced out of your homeland’s housing market. For good.

Big Tech must be quite pleased to see homelessness attributed exclusively, by the usual cast on TV, to addiction and mental illness—when, in fact, homelessness is driven, primarily, by the systematic and permanent eviction from the housing market of vulnerable, working-class people.

In truth, our country is consigning its economically weakest members to the homeless encampment, through the never-ending importation of a high-rolling, high-tech elite, which, in turn, artificially inflates the price of housing. In perpetuity.

According to the Seattle Times, “fewer than 50 percent of people without homes are addicts.” “There are more families with children than chronically homeless people” in the encampments.

Underlying homelessness are factors such as “loss of a job,” “eviction,” medical bills and foreclosure, the last of which “destroys credit ratings, making former homeowners no longer eligible for loans or, in many cases, rentals.Forever.

“We must no longer allow politicians, policy influencers and the media to get away with the laziness of conflating substance abuse and homelessness,” inveighs Lola E. Peters.

Peters, a local writer, is correct. Alas, while implicating the tech-driven population explosion in our state’s housing crisis, Ms. Peters frames the unrelenting influx from China and India as an organic, natural, made-in-America population explosion. …

UPDATED (9/27/019): Barely Literate Pre-Teens Dominate Climate-Change Conversation

Education, English, Environmentalism & Animal Rights, Globalism, Intelligence, Kids

Unlike climate change, here is something that is not in dispute. These two, pre-teen, self-styled climate activists pictured here are barely literate. Hear them for yourself.

The girl, Ridhima Pandey (11), proves that American, teenybopper English has been exported successfully to India. The word that informs Pandey’s “thinking” on climate change is … “Like,” repeated lots of times.

Another opinionated kid, Carl Smith, 17, joined Ali Velshi on MSNBC, to prove nothing more than that their generation struggles to express the simplest idea in coherent English.

Did the so-called adult in the room give these two some desperately needed corrective feedback? Naturally not.

To the contrary: MSNBC’s Ali Velshi told incoherent kid Ridhima Pandey that she was “forcing a smarter conversation on the climate,” when she’s not.

Cleverer Kids like the wild-eyed, unhinged Greta Thunberg are right about one thing: The adults who groom them are big liars.

UPDATE (9/27/019): Grrrreta has a future. I kinda like this version of Greta Thunberg quite a bit:

Indian-Americans: Tribal, Politically Aggressive, Reliably Leftist

Business, Culture, Democrats, Globalism, IMMIGRATION, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Multiculturalism

Kamala Harris’ mother migrated to California from Chennai, in southern India. But the senator “rarely mentions the Indian side of her family while campaigning.” I wonder why?

They’re a relatively new addition to the country’s state-planned multicultural mosaic. Most Indian-Americans have “arrived in America over the past two decades.” But they are highly aggressive politically and leftist.

Thanks to chain migration, the number of highly aggressive leftists will be increasing exponentially (well, almost).

Could Indian-Americans really grow into a significant political force? Their numbers look too puny to matter as a national voting bloc. Devesh Kapur, at Johns Hopkins University, estimates that only 1m voters of Indian descent are politically active. That number could double within two decades through immigration, more naturalisations and as children age. …

Most are reliably Democrats—77% of Indian-Americans backed Hillary Clinton in 2016, for example—who cluster in partisan strongholds such as California, New York and Illinois. …

… Capitol Hill, for example, is crammed with staff and interns of Indian-American heritage. They also appear to be “over-represented” in academia, the media and other influential posts. He talks of the growing significance of informal networks, as well-connected Indian-Americans find jobs for each other’s offspring. Ms Jayapal also points to the prevalence of skilled Indian-Americans (perhaps subsidised in their first jobs by well-off parents) who work as assistants to senators and representatives in Washington.

What the gentleman interviewed means—and as many in the corporate world know all too well—ONCE an individual of South-Asian descent gets into a position of power, he hires others of the same persuasion.

Anglo-Americans, on the other hand, hire by talent, not by tribe.

In the image attached, Microsoft employees cheer on the India Cricket team.

UPDATED (8/6/019): NEW COLUMN: We Aren’t Americans; We ARE The World (Part II)

Democrats, Egalitarianism, Globalism, IMMIGRATION, Nationalism, Nationhood, Republicans

NEW COLUMN (with YouTube), “We Aren’t Americans; We ARE The World (Part II),” is on The Unz Review and Townhall.com.

Part I, “Do We Still Have A Country,” is on WND.COM this week.

Excerpt from “We Aren’t Americans; We ARE The World (Part II)”:

Asked and answered in part 1 of this inquiry was the following question:

“Do we still have a country, when every single passive, non-aggressive act taken to repel people crossing into our country is considered de facto illegal, or inhumane, or in violation of international and U.S. law, or in contraventions of some hidden clause in the U.S. Constitution.”

Table a new law limiting trespass en masse, or attempt to enforce any of the many immigration laws already in the United States Code, and this is deemed by a plurality in D.C. to be problematic, if not outright diabolical.

Why do I say most in the ruling class? Because Republicans in power seldom ever fulfill their obligation to enforce America’s existing tough immigration laws.

You mean you didn’t know there were immigration laws aplenty already on the books? My point exactly. No representative tells you about the laws he or she has sworn to uphold, and hasn’t. Few representatives will fight to enforce these laws, or retaliate when judges routinely nullify immigration law.

Rather, Republicans spend their term on their knees, obsequiously apologizing, beating on breast, for the rare instances where immigration law is enforced.

Alas, most every U.S. law removing trespassers and interlopers is de facto unenforced because the multicultural noise machine—enabled by a complicit Administrative State and inept, indifferent legislators—sets the tone in this country.

Using their harshest Hitler hyperbole, the activists tell you that enforcement is not merely problematic, but Nazi-like, practically a war crime.

Here’s the nub of the matter: The noise makers want you to believe that to distinguish America from The World is immoral.

Why?

Because for America to be America, the World must be able to land in the U.S. and, forthwith, lodge claims against its citizens.

To deny these trespassers and claims-makers, first, their creature comforts, next, their welfare rights, is a violation of The World’s natural right to reside in a territory that belongs to The World.

Or, as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put it, “All people should be free to be here.” …

UPDATE (8/6/019): Smart readers got it:

This is a text of the prophetic caliber and depth, accurate to every word.

Indeed, Repoops spend their term on their knees, accurately playing the role assigned to them. Absolute lack of the organized opposition, nor any dissent, now became the reality of this former beacon of the former Free world, while “we the sheeple” are conditioned to run as a deer between two lights of the duopoly… Nothing to add, just to repeat in bold:

The country is no longer, because, for one, there is nothing to separate citizens from The World. For another, the country’s representatives are representing The World, not their constituents.
