UPDATED IV (7/5/2021): Taking A Knee Is Akin To Taking A Pee

Ethics, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Nationhood, Neoconservatism, Race, Racism, Sport, The Zeitgeist

NEW COLUMN is: “Taking A Knee Is Akin To Taking A Pee.” It’s now on WND.COM. An excerpt:

“Taking a knee” stands for the specter of beefy, pampered athletes—they’re not sportsmen—wealthy beyond belief, striking a political pose on the football field, during the playing of the national anthem.

First to kneel when he was meant to stand was Colin Kaepernick. The reason the San Francisco 49er knelt, in 2016: “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

Like Kaepernick, current kneelers are not Copernicus. It’s hard to fathom what they actually want. A non-player activist has since narrowed the kneeling to “ending the killing of black men and black women by the police.”

To question the debasing of the English language, in this context, is probably considered racist, but I’ll take one for Team English. At first, I knew not what on earth “take a knee” meant. Commentators and anchors discussed this god-awful expression without explaining it. And my connection to American football is as weak as the connection Americans have to one another.

I grew up on a sports diet of basketball and real football—the kind Pelé played without a dog muzzle and with dazzling footwork. South African rugby, too, was faster and more fun than American football. Nevertheless, I root for my home team, the Seattle Seahawks.

Why so? We all inhabit this busy mart called America, but are united by nothing meaningful at all. The football fetish in America has intensified in the context of a country whose inhabitants agree on little else than the importance of The Game. Consequently, come playoff time, we come together fleetingly and superficially, to make a religion out of our respective professional football teams.

“Take a knee” must have originated in some linguistic botching, a lazy collapsing of alliteratively related words and phrases. I mean, you can “kneel,” “kneel down,” or “get down on your knees.” You most certainly can “bow down” or “take a bow.” But, “Take a knee”? It sounds like an adaptation from “take a p-e.” Actually, I’m not far off. The Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. “had been flagged … for unsportsmanlike conduct when he celebrated a touchdown by impersonating a dog urinating.” …

… READ THE REST. “Taking A Knee Is Akin To Taking A Pee” is the current column, now on WND.COM.

UPDATE I (10/1/017): Introducing Cedric Ingram Lewis & Larry McCullough:

UPDATE II (10/23): The Snake:

UPDATE II (6/9/2018): Ben Shapiro, quintessential cuckservative, recently wrote that “Trump Is Wrong To Disinvite The Eagles. He’s Even More Wrong To Lie About Them.”

Discussion ensued on Facebook.

Ilana Mercer: He’s no intellectual at all, Jack Kerwick. A big Second Hander is Ben Shapiro. I’ve had readers tell me that, given a chance, Cuck would agree with and adopt my opinions (say on diseasing misbehavior), hence, these readers “argue, Cuck is smart. I have no doubt that Shaprio would adopt others’ argument without a shred of credit, if the source were not a Fox panelist.

UPDATE III (5/7/021):
Low Bron James gets mocked.

Neoconservatives Are Thrilled With President Trump’s Foreign Policy

Donald Trump, Foreign Policy, Nationhood, Neoconservatism

Bloomberg’s Eli Lake is in neoconservative heaven: “… for Venezuela [Donald Trump] came very close to calling for regime change. ‘The United States has taken important steps to hold the regime accountable,’ Trump said. ‘We are prepared to take further action if the government of Venezuela persists on its path to impose authoritarian rule on the Venezuelan people.’
For a moment, I closed my eyes and thought I was listening to a Weekly Standard editorial meeting. …”

Mr. Lake is loving it. He thinks of this expansionism as “American exceptionalism.”

UPDATED: Why Did Steve Bannon Use The Neo-Confederate Smear?

Bush, Cultural Marxism, Donald Trump, Education, History, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Neoconservatism, Republicans, States' Rights

Historian of the South Dr. Clyde Wilson comments on the Steve Bannon “60 Minutes” interview:

Did you all notice that Stephen Bannon in the TV interview equated “neo-Confederates” with neo-Nazis and the KKK? There is no such thing as a neo-Confederate. It is a leftist smear term for anyone who challenges their interpretation of history or thinks that the federal government is too big.

Differing interpretations of history are natural to free and civilized societies, which the U.S. is not. Hundreds of thousands of people, all of whom voted for Donald Trump, might be slandered as “neo-Confederates.” For that matter, it is very likely that the Nazis and KKK at Charlottesville were paid plants.

Why has Trump failed to expose and prosecute antifa? These are the same people who attacked his own rallies and inauguration. It would be a great opportunity to educate the people. Alas, like so much else inexplicable, the president is showing the usual Republican policy of never fighting back but always appearing “respectable.”

What Bannon said:

Bannon: “What he was trying to say is that people that support the monument staying there peacefully and people that oppose that, that’s the normal course of — of First Amendment. But he’s talking about the Neo-Nazis and Neo-Confederates and the Klan, who, by the way, are absolutely awful — there’s no room in American politics for that. There’s no room in American society for that. … And all Donald Trump was saying is, “Where does it end? Does it end in taking down the Washington Monument? Does it end in taking down Mount Rushmore? Does it end at taking Churchill’s bust out of the Oval Office?” My problem — my problem, and I told General Kelly this — when you side with a man, you side with him. I was proud to come out and try to defend President Trump in the media that day.”

MORE of Steve Bannon on 60 Minutes.

UPDATE: Best of Steve Bannon: “I hold these people in contempt, total and complete.” “George W. Bush and his entire national security apparatus, which included people like Condi Rice, Brent Scowcroft, Colin Powell and Dick Cheney.”

“I hold these people in contempt, total and complete contempt,” Bannon told Rose, adding that the former Bush administration officials get him riled up with anger like nothing else. “They’re idiots, and they’ve gotten us in this situation, and they question a good man like Donald Trump.”
Bannon blasted “the geniuses in the Bush administration that let China in the W.T.O.,” and reminded Rose that the “genius in the Bush administration told us, ‘Hey, they’re going to be a liberal democracy. They’re going to be free-market capitalism.’ The same geniuses that got us into Iraq.”

Nikki Haley: Smalltime Politician Turned Big-League Scold

Donald Trump, Foreign Policy, Neoconservatism, UN, War

Only a woman would wag her finger at a country and say, “Enough is enough.”

I give you Nikki Haley, the provincial idiot—a smalltime politician—whom President Trump has turned into a global power broker. (Is she Ivanka’s friend?)

What a scold.

“To the members of the Security Council, I must say, enough is enough,” she said at an emergency Security Council meeting, which was called in response to North Korea’s sixth and strongest nuclear test, on Sunday. “We have taken an incremental approach, and despite the best of intentions, it has not worked.”
“The time has come to exhaust all diplomatic means to end this crisis,” Haley said. “Only the strongest sanctions will enable us to solve this problem through diplomacy.”

Now she wants to starve the people of North Korea.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is “begging for war,” she said. “The stakes could not be higher. The urgency is now.”

The Leader, Kim Jong Un, will stay as chubby and well-fed as he is. The impoverished North Koreans alone will be affected by Haley’s sanctions. Another thing: Idiots like Haley and her neocon cohort truly believe North Koreans love her and hate their chubby leader. Not at all. Most people do not wish to be told how to live by foreign busybodies like Haley.

Can’t we send Dennis Rodman, instead?

Here’s “what the media and Haley aren’t telling you about North Korea’s missile tests:

What the media failed to mention was that, for the last three weeks, Japan, South Korea and the US have been engaged in large-scale joint-military drills on Hokkaido Island and in South Korea. These needlessly provocative war games are designed to simulate an invasion of North Korea and a “decapitation” operation to remove (Re: Kill) the regime. North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong-un has asked the US repeatedly to end these military exercises, but the US has stubbornly refused. The US reserves the right to threaten anyone, anytime and anywhere even right on their doorstep. It’s part of what makes the US exceptional. Check out this excerpt from an article at Fox News …
