UPDATED (11/22/022): Tit-For-Tat Politicking By The Republicans, Instead Of Solemn Focus On Biden’s Treason

Conservatism, Constitution, Democrats, Government, IMMIGRATION, Political Philosophy, Republicans, The State

Biden is willfully flouting his constitutional obligation to protect Americans from an invasion, and is thus committing treason

THE IDIOT Republicans are investigating the Hunter “Baaaden” affair, to imitate the repetitive intonations emitted by Fox News’ Australian journalist, about the ‘Baaaden’ laptop.

Don’t be misled into this dummies-and-ditto-heads dead-end, folks. This is vintage lightweight, GOP tit-for-tat distraction.

The Hunter Baaden preoccupation amounts to, “They (Democrats) do January 6; we (Republicans) hack away at—or hit back with—Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell.”

YOU (Deplorables) gain nothing from such a foray.

It’s zero-sum for us the people.

Legal scholar Jonathan Turley, whom I respect, disagrees. However, Turley operates within the philosophical parameters of the state. By and large, professor Turley believes in the integrity of American institutions, and is confident that one party is probably more righteous than the other. When out-of-sync, the good professor is sure that a congressional committee, led by the right people, can right matters.

Wrong. Not for nothing do we call IT the Deep State.

The matter of the FBI’s corruption and bias has been settled both in the minds of deplorables and by the objective facts (FBI director James Comey anyone?). Correctly so.

If The GOP were seriously working for We The Deplorable People, they’d pursue First Principles driven congressional oversight.  They’d duly summons Biden for a hearing charging that by intentionally leaving the Southern border wide-open and unguarded—in effect inviting the world to invade our country—Biden is willfully flouting his constitutional obligation to protect Americans from such depredations, and is thus committing treason.

The obligation of a Republican congressional majority is to pursue oversight by investigating and prosecuting a flagrant violation by the president of his constitutional obligation to defend the USA and its people from invasions.

OH, AND INVESTIGATING THE ORIGINS OF THE COVID VIRUS is the worst distraction. Don’t start me on the American COVID criminal class: Media, medical, corporate, state. What dangerous, deranged, demented, criminally negligent cretins, who never pay for their crimes.

With few exceptions such as Governors Ron DeSantis (Florida) and Kristi Noem (South Dakota), Republican politicians failed to uphold the natural rights of their constituents during the COVID onslaught.

Self-Ownership And The Right To Reject The Pharma-State’s Hemlock,” written on October 28, 2021, the Republican case against the sundering of constitutional and natural rights was summed up in all its cavernous emptiness

“Republicans prattle about religious exemptions (state granted!) and natural-immunity based exemptions (state granted!) from the Covid jab—but they have not the faintest urge to defend the natural, God-given right of self-ownership.”

Any investigation that strays from such fundamentals is the GOP pulling one over Deplorables.

That the GOP is already falling flat on this front is all the more jarring given Republicans’ abject failure to deliver as promised in the midterms.

Devil’s Party Running On Pelosi Attack, Believe Election Commissars, Not Legislature, Represent The People

To go by the networks, the Democrats are running on the Papa Pelosi Attack. They think it’s a defining issue for the voters.

The only centrally important thing about Pelosi’s attacker is that he will not be granted bail; while an ordinary peon’s attacker or murderer would and does, in California.

SYMBOLISM OVER REASON

Never mind facts; symbolism is the Devil Party’s stock-in-trade. For these demented Democrats, the Pelosi attack symbolizes something greater than the mere facts of the case. Like all liars they love the truth afforded by a one-case study (invalid in research methodology). It allegedly points to some eternal truth about all of us MAGA men and women.

LEGISLATURE VS. POLITBURO

The second observation about The Devil Party’s plank is this:

Whereas we, MAGA men and women, are silenced and indicted for merely mentioning the realities of election fraud—our Republican representatives having largely abandoned us—Devil operatives like Mother Jones’ Ari Berman indict Republican gerrymandering elections just BECAUSE Republicans vest the Wisconsin Legislature with representative power, rather than the state’s centralized, six-member Elections Commission (WEC), made up of so-called “bipartisan” representatives.

One election commissar for every 1 million Wisconsin voters—the state has a population of 6 million. This is the essence of democracy for the Devil Party. And what a diabolical notion this is.

As bad as it already is—democracy to the Democrat Devils means something even worse. It means that a politburo is more representative than a legislature. The latter (legislature) comports with the Founding Fathers’ philosophy of governance; the former (commission) with the former Soviet Union’s theory of rule.

The GOP appears eager to wrest control away from the bipartisan commission that supervises elections [all six members of it] in the state and give that power to the ultra-gerrymandered [so you say] legislature, which could then choose the state’s presidential electors instead of the voters.

The Democrats, the Devil’s Party, are unbeatably Orwellian.

Quick Note On Principle-Bereft Conservative Utilitarianism

Argument, Conservatism, Energy, Political Philosophy, Russia, War

In a segment today, Monday October 3, Fox News personality Tucker Carlson and guest Glenn Greenwald discussed the Evil Empire’s sabotage of Russia’s energy pipelines to Europe . (The best on the subject is FRED REED’s “A Diagnostic Letter To Our Euro-Peon Vassals, Who Are Dumber Than The Better Class Of Nematode.”)

Glenn Greenwald belabored the point as to whether a war with Russia is even advantageous to the United States and its people. This was also as far as Tucker Carlson would venture, the premise of such crass utilitarianism being that the American State has the right to do anything it wishes, provided this benefits the American people. Poppycock.

Contra  Tucker Carlson and Glenn Greenwald, even if war with Russia were “advantageous to the American people”—to paraphrase the exclusively utilitarian point the two made—it is an unjust war. Like most conservatives, the two personalities mentioned ignore ethical or moral argument, never mentioning Just War theory. Or, even the constitutionally correct way to take our country to war.

UPDATED (9/26/022): Giorgia Meloni Has A Philosophy Of Liberty; GOP Candidates Have Positions, Talking Points, Bereft of Philosophy

Argument, Europe, Family, Individual Rights, Liberty, Nationalism, Nationhood, Political Philosophy, Republicans

‘The GOP has to stick to positions, talking points, because the Republicans don’t hold a philosophy, much less one that can support concepts like nationalism, nation-state and national sovereignty’

Unlike most of our GOP candidates, who promote positions, as opposed to a philosophy of liberty (even the very nice ones such as Kari Lake)—Giorgia Meloni, prime minister elect of Italy and leader of Brothers Of Italy, bases her opinions on a systematic philosophy which is central to her core beliefs.

Liberty to Meloni is not the party’s talking points—positions and political plank—as it is for the GOP—“God, Groceries, Gas,” as one hack summed it up on Hannity. Rather, Meloni holds a philosophy of liberty which she grasps. Thus she quotes GK Chesterton not for the meaty words, but to shore up a philosophy. Coming from her, Chesterton doesn’t ring hollow.

What do I mean? Example: Meloni talks about “the nation state” and a “political sovereignty that belongs to the citizens of that state.”

The GOP confines itself to noodling against open borders, but for legal immigration (they love it) and against illegal immigration. The GOP has to stick to positions, talking points, because the Republicans don’t hold a philosophy, much less one that can support concepts like nationalism, nation-state and national sovereignty.

Meloni knows that individual rights are not deracinated, free-floating entitlements that attach naturally to every person who can then show up on the West’s doorstep demanding these abstracted rights be defended and optimized. No, this position is that of the Republicans and Democrats. Their positions justify open borders to varying degrees and an adventurous foreign policy to varying degrees.

A party that holds positions bereft of philosophy will never restore the nation. Why, the concept of a nation (not nation-state) Republicans reach for only to promote and project Lincoln-like visions of political might and can-do optimism.

On the other hand, Meloni, an Italian nationalist, will want to slow immigration to a halt because she believes that everything that is good in Italy comes from its Italian essence.

Suffice it to say that, in her references, the Italian prime minister elect evinces erudition and knowledge.

Alas, as I’ve been told, Meloni is wishy-washy on the vaccine and I note that she suffer the Ukraine euphoria, although is about Italy First.
