UPDATE II: The Latest Mrs. Limbaugh (Ditto Heads)

Conservatism, Media, Morality, Pop-Culture, The Zeitgeist

Silly me; I had imagined that the fourth marriage of an iconic American conservative, at the ripe age of 59, would be a little less ostentatious than Michelle Obama’s disco party for Mexican President Felipe Calderon. No such luck.

The latest Mrs. Limbaugh is half his age. Not unattractive; she’s certainly a trophy wife. The boob job is identifiable a mile away. I see identical mounds everywhere around me.

“Serial monogamists” is how Larry Auster thinks of “the Republican Party’s three major stars—Gingrich, Giuliani, Limbaugh,” who’ve “reached a milestone,” since all three have been married three times.

“With this trinity of thrice-married ‘conservative’ deities on tap, who knows what wonders 2012 might bring? Perhaps a Gingrich-Giuliani presidential ticket, with Limbaugh presiding at the inaugural ceremony.”

Run for cover.

UPDATE: “I’M A SINGLE LADY.” Men, especially powerful wealthy ones, have always been able to court younger women. The kind way to put it is that power and wealth are aphrodisiacs to women. The harsher reality is this: to be prepared to bed an older, overweight man (albeit with means), a young woman in her prime is probably also greedy (there are exceptions, of course).

I don’t care for the reductionist biological explanations of why older, uglier men can attract young attractive ladies.

UPDATE II (Aug. 13): What do you know, the ditto heads have been rushing headlong into this blog, unburdened by fact (or principle), blinded by their factional loyalties.

Here’s some red meat from our Rush Archive, for the “yes” men and women who are incapable of critical thought, only blind obeisance:

UPDATED: Pimp My FLOTUS

Barack Obama, Debt, Economy, Ethics, Etiquette, Government, Politics, Pop-Culture

I can’t bring myself to break a sweat over Michelle Obama’s lavish vacation. The First Lady and daughter took along to Spain “68 Secret Service agents from the US,” and for “her entourage she had reserved 60 of the 129 rooms.”

The comparison to Marie Antoinette, down to the wave, is flattering, of course—to Michelle. But how stupid is it to suggest that individuals so privileged as these—who have set themselves and their offspring up for life by working the political process (i.e., by pelf)—could, by “toning down the flash,” humanise themselves “and signify that they sympathise with the setbacks of the people they were elected to serve.”

That was New York Daily News columnist Andrea Tantaros’s much-publicized criticism and attendant advice.

Yes, precisely: if the Obamas and their hangers-on tone down, I’ll feel so much better about them and their undeserved riches.

Dumb.

Besides, the metaphor is all wrong. This sojourn to Spain, the “sedate” soiree for Mexican President Felipe Calderon, down to the pelvis-shaking Beyonce—this is out of the MTV series, “Pimp my Ride.” Or Pimp my president.

UPDATE (Aug. 9): The Idiocracy at large has taunted Michelle and her posse by saying that the American economy could have done with their dollars. The royal party should have spent its money stateside.

The American cognoscenti knows so little about the money in their society. Government workers are paid out of taxes. In other words, the money they spend is money confiscated from taxpayers. Productive activities were suspended in order to fund these parasite. It’s a zero-sum game. The BHO family doesn’t produce anything; it consumes wealth. All told, even if Michelle vacationed in the US, the money she blows has already resulted in less economic activity somewhere unseen. It’s Bastiat’s elegant argument about ‘What Is Seen and What Is Not Seen’ all over again.

A View Of The Nation

Barack Obama, Celebrity, Feminism, Gender, Media, Pop-Culture

Must I cover the president playing figurative footsie with the nation’s Delphic dames? You already know how much I dislike these idiot women—even more than BHO, whom I find quite funny when he steers clear of things about which he knows nothing: economy, liberty, etc.

Nevertheless, the “charmer-in-chief” (Drudge’s moniker) prattling, as he did on “The View,” about family, race, and pop-culture to these friendly, foolish females (that includes harebrained Hasselbeck) made headlines today. So, it’s news.

One juicy tidbit I did find interesting was BHO’s disclosure that he was not invited to witness the Clinton wedding.

When Palin Agrees With Olbermann

Barack Obama, Environmentalism & Animal Rights, Political Philosophy, Pop-Culture, Private Property, Regulation, Republicans, Sarah Palin, The State

The following is from my new, WND.Com column, “When Palin Agrees With Olbermann”:

“Republican reaction to the president’s reaction to the crude gushing in the Gulf of Mexico is a measure of how serious the GOP is about checking the spread of big government.

Every time I turn around, there’s a Republican insisting that Big “O” take over where Big Oil has (allegedly) left off. This, Sarah Palin has been demanding as loudly as James Carville; Congresswoman Michele Bachmann as urgently as clown Keith Olbermann. The consensus on both sides of the political aisle seems to be that where British Petroleum has failed to stop the spread of the oil slick, the president will prevail.

If I didn’t know Republicans better, I’d think they were making political hay out of the Deepwater Horizon leak, now in its fifty second day. …

So what does the idolatrous Idiocracy want from its Golden Calf?

The Oprah faction confuses righteous indignation with righteousness; it wants Obama to come unhinged. The Disneyland division is hoping that off-shore oil explorer, acclaimed scientist and inventor James Cameron, who “has worked extensively with robot submarines,” will help the film directors of BP to plug the oil plume. Cameron’s plan includes that liquid metal robot from “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” Obama must realize that there is no way such a plan could fail.”…

What do I recommend? For the root of the environmental despoliation of the ocean and other state-controlled expanses of water—and the ultimate solution to it—read on. The column is “When Palin Agrees With Olbermann.”
