UPDATED: What’s Jared Kushner Up To?

Donald Trump, Ethics, Family, Foreign Policy, War

Initially, is my guess, Jared Kushner was in IT to ensure that Princess Ivanka’s position in high society was not damaged by the antics of father Donald Trump. Jared’s own father, Charles Kushner, lost his standing in society. Son Jared could not allow the same to happen to his young family. Kushner’s psychological makeup is such that he’s exerting influence, to nudge President Trump toward mainstream positions, wherein lie acceptability and respectability.

But Kushner soon got carried away. Now he’s in the thick of the Trump Administration, allegedly at war with OUR MAN STEVE BANNON.

Had President Trump not flouted rules against nepotism, the Kushner controversy might have been averted. Via Vanity Fair:

… A 1967 law bans presidents from appointing family members to government jobs and Cabinet positions. (Shortly after his election in 1960, John Kennedy appointed his younger brother Bobby as attorney general.) And while Kushner’s proximity to the president raises all sorts of ethical questions, the more pressing curiosity is why Kushner is enduring all this tumult in the first place. Why would a mild-mannered Jewish kid from an establishment Democratic family, particularly one who enjoys a charmed life in Manhattan, defy what would seem to be his interests, his scruples, and his easy existence? …

Instead, “Jared Kushner[‘s] … national security portfolio—China, Mexico, even Iraq, where was he photographed last week flying over Baghdad in a helicopter—has been expanding at a breathtaking rate.”

Alarming indeed.

Life With Islam And Its Enablers

Europe, Intelligence, Islam, Jihad, Russia, Terrorism

“Life With Islam And Its Enablers” is the current column, now on The Daily Caller. A (short) excerpt:

… Acting individually, Americans are still capable of responding to Jihad by “casting terror into the hearts” of Jihadi believers. Collectively and severally, the British and the Europeans are honing their helplessness.

Certainly when it comes to the agencies entrusted with protecting the people on both sides of the pond, failure is the rule. The response mounted by the people’s protectors across the West is lackluster, to put it charitably.

Be it Paris, Nice, Brussels, or Berlin; Orlando, San Bernardino—the men with mass murder on their minds are Muslim, often with criminal records or with a sudden heightened interest in Islam. That risk factor, Islam, is unacknowledged. Its followers are ignored, seldom stopped, and generally dismissed as misguided by the very intelligence agencies now successfully hobbling President Trump.

Posthumously, Jihadi killers are remembered kindly by a conditioned dhimmi community (ours) and by the complicit community (theirs). Nice guys all.

When these characters come to the attention of the authorities, they’re consistently given a pass for their infractions. Invariably are they interviewed and released, unleashed on innocents, because, somehow, they inspired faith in their inquisitors.

The same interrogators are better disposed to prosecuting patriots for impolite speech against Islam. Dutchman Geert Wilders and France’s Marine Le Pen come to mind. Persecuting another, President Donald Trump, for being too polite to Russia is another preferred pastime of Deep-State operatives, who’ll invariably call-off surveillance of Islamists, as they funnel fungible funds into, say, surveilling Trump Tower.

Following acts of Jihad, suspects slip through European roadblocks with relative ease. Perverse European legislators have instituted procedures that make apprehending and expelling undesirables near impossible. …

… Libertarian Julian Assange called the FBI and offshoots “America’s political police.” Europeans have their “political police.” The English have MI5; it declared Khalid Masood halal, kosher, good to go.

The “political police” is helping its political masters to achieve a goal. If political actions are indicators, then the aim is to acculturate Americans and Europeans to life with Islam. Are politicians working toward this goal reflexively, rather than as a matter of collusion and conspiracy? Is the institutional ineptness documented “helped” by Islamic infiltration into politics and policing? These matters are not easily adjudicated.

What patriots in the West need to know is that life with Islam is life under Islam and its enablers. …

‘The Trump Surveillance Story Explodes’

Barack Obama, Donald Trump

In his Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly distills the Susan Rice twist in “the Trump Surveillance story”:

“Tonight we will give you just the facts, no speculation, no hysteria. The latest from Fox News correspondents Adam Housley and Malia Zimmerman is this: ‘Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caught up in surveillance.’ That is very troubling and if it can be proven, Susan Rice is in major trouble. Also, because the national security advisor was so close to President Obama, he will have to answer questions as well. So you can see an enormous story is developing and it really doesn’t matter whether the liberal mainstream media ignores it. Congress and the FBI will not. To be fair to Ms. Rice, she denies all wrongdoing and should be given the presumption of innocence. That is the American way. Here’s my question: If Susan Rice did surveil the Trump people for a year, what was her motive? This woman is a national security advisor, she’s got a lot of work to do. So why would she be running over to the National Security Agency or the CIA reviewing wiretaps? And why, if a Trump person was involved, would she want the name? The key question here is motivation. Both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees should subpoena Susan Rice immediately, and both committees should send written questions to President Obama. Also, the FBI should interview Ambassador Rice and conduct a very thorough investigation of her behavior. Because if the Trump campaign or the transition team were being spied upon by the Obama administration, that has to be uncovered. Or am I wrong?”

The Factor pursued the Susan Rice story with FoxNews.com investigative reporter Malia Zimmerman. “We will be covering this story for weeks and months,” she predicted, “because it’s so vast and we don’t know so many things. We don’t know why they were surveilled and why President Trump and his family may have been included. This was going on for at least a year. We have intelligence sources and on Monday we were able to confirm that it was Susan Rice who did the unmasking. We believe someone in another agency may have told her to request the records and have those names unmasked. This whole thing was about embarrassing Donald Trump and making his presidency unstable, and it’s pretty clear that laws were broken.”
