The following is excerpted from “The Sequel to ‘Suicide of A Superpower,'” now on WND.COM:

“Whites will become a minority in 2042 and will fall to 46 percent of the population by 2050, comprising only 38 percent of U.S. population under 18. So writes Patrick J. Buchanan in his formidable new book, ‘Suicide of A Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?’

Every immigration worrywart recalls the ‘astonishing episode’ Mr. Buchanan recounts next. In 1998, Bill Clinton brought tidings of ‘their coming minority status’ to a ‘largely white student body’ at Portland State University.

‘In a little more than 50 years,’ rejoiced President Clinton, ‘there will be no majority race in the United States. No other nation in history has gone through a demographic change of this magnitude in so short a time.’ Taking their cue from their ‘enthnomasochistic’ president, the students erupted in cheers.

‘Ethnomasochism,’ laments Mr. Buchanan—who is surely one of the great patriots of our time—is ‘the taking of pleasure in the dispossession of one’s own ethnic group.’ It is ‘a disease of the heart that never afflicted the America of Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt, or Dwight Eisenhower.’

In this writer’s latest book, the example of post-apartheid South Africa is used to deconstruct the effects of such a shift in a country’s majority/minority power structure.

Granted, the shift underway in the U.S.A. is incremental. But as is clear from the facts unfurled in ‘Suicide of A Superpower,’ the transformation of America will be as detrimental as the almost-overnight shift orchestrated in South Africa. …”

Read the complete column, “The Sequel to ‘Suicide of A Superpower.'” It’s now on WND.COM.

The aforementioned book, “Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa,” is available from Amazon. (Don’t forget those reviews; they help.)

A Kindle copy is also on sale.

Barnes and Noble is always well-stocked and ships within 24 hours.

Still better, shipping is free and prompt if you purchase Into the Cannibal’s Pot from The Publisher.

UPDATE (Nov. 4): THE SANCTITY OF LIFE. Here is a statistic from the book “Into the Cannibal’s Pot.” It might edify the Facebook writer (on this column’s WND page) who cavalierly compares the devastation of crime in the New South Africa to the devastation inflicted by the National Party (the apartheid regime): More people are murdered in one week under African rule (plus/minus 420) than died under the detention of the Afrikaner government over the course of roughly four decades (approximately the same). But, left-liberals do not consider the sanctity of life in a society as a measure of justice; only democracy—the might of the majority–rights all wrong.

Well the UN wanted it. They wanted surrender and not reform. The new world where the rich, intelligent people are kicked around by people that don’t want to work that’s the future. South Africa has the world’s largest welfare state with over 15.2 million recipients. 5 million tax payers is supporting 15.2 million people. 1 white person supports 5 black people with social grants. And they don’t work. Refuse to work for anything less than the minimum wages. The 2 million strong black dominated union threaten to make the country ungovernable if businesses are privatized or if affirmative action is removed or if minimum wages are relaxed.

Buchanan’s DAY OF RECKONING was the precursor to SUICIDE OF A SUPER POWER. But, SOASP is a page turner of information – all is noted at the end of the book – exceeding DOR.

U.S. immigration policy and U.S. educational institutions have been operating on the belief that all people and all races desire to become “Americanized”. My advice – THINK AGAIN.

Buchanan is no libertarian, but he is no apologist either. History is what it is – history. None of us can change what our ancestors may or may not have done to others. We can only be responsible for what we do…hopefully using libertarian ideals as our guideline. However, can we rely on others of different cultures, political beliefs, and economic systems to follow our lead? The simple answer is no.

My thought is that, as a nation that recognizes the global seismic shifts taking place, we need a timeout from wars, regulations, more new programs & legislation, spending, immigration, drug wars, etc. We, as a country, need to rationally think of who we are as a society and our place in this world and our individual place in this play.

I have some LINKS below that I hope will tweek “the little gray cells” / Hercule Poirot into serious thought:

I truly believe if we do not become a more libertarian nation as well as a more discriminating one – that is, choosing the most optimum RATIONAL & MORAL choices for success as a Republic – then we will be committing national suicide a la “CANNIBAL’S POT”.

ps: Let’s start with English as the official legal language, but speak what you wish at home or in your own business or with your friends.

Is Robert P. Murphy on the correct libertarian society track? Would his proposal resolve some or many of the suicidal problems Patrick J. Buchanan sees in his book?

Are the peoples of the world rational, objective, educated, and libertarian enough to work within a framework envisioned by Murphy and would you take that leap of faith? The historical moment of directional choice is at hand because the world’s economic situation is forcing the decision to be made.
