Update III: A Day In The Life Of White South Africa (In The Good Old Days)

The calm, detachment of the voice of a member of the forensic team negates the scene being surveyed: a slaughtered, white South African family, one among many like it. For the edification of racism spotters in the West, in Mandela’s South Africa, the assailants are as ethnically distinct as their victims. (I am waiting on a translation from our Afrikaans readers.)

For our South African readers, this weekend I will post on activism and resistance.

APRIL APPEAL: READ IT, heed it.

Update: George, a regular on BAB, asks hereunder:

Ms. Mercer,
Are those committing and condoning these atrocities, as well as those wholly apathetic to the mass serial murders, a purely racial entity crossing all, most, or many tribes? Or is this mainly the result of just the ANC’s strict devotion to the Communist modus operandi?
I’m looking forward to your book on S.A.

What you see unfold in SA is more the former than the latter. Since Westerners, for the most, are without racial hatred and are all racial liberals, they cannot fathom—or defend against—such white, hot hatred. Afrikaners tried, but were sold down the Orange River for their crude attempts.

What stares back at you from these mutilated remains? Racial hatred, of course. The South African Institute for Race Relations, in all its sanctimony, is awaiting “scientific evidence; research” to prove the point. I’m a pretty level-headed rational writer, but sometimes the truth is there in the handiwork of the devils who do the deeds, not in double-blind studies or “well-controlled” surveys.”

(I’ve been drawing on some of their factual work for my own book, but overall, they have been deniers of the racial aspect of Boer murders. That is criminal negligence. Unjust. And worse.)

Update II (April 25): To Myron’s comment on SA gaining acceptance with the Left. The Left and what goes for conservatism in the USA have always backed the barbarism that the New SA entails.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS.Anonymous’ comments have been illuminating (although, please see posting instructions; email must be provided; it stays anon) as he understands Afrikaans. The narration, anon has pointed out, is from July 1986. I should have known that the thorough police work we heard narrated over the visual was suspect as it is no longer likely in the New improved SA.
What we are hearing over the tape is the kind of forensic work you see on TV (CSI), a feature of the Old SA. These old timer policemen have been given the pink slip. The fact that the bodies evince no mutilation—and this is reasonable conjecture, I believed—goes to the fact that punishment was very likely under the old SA, or the regime, as Americans would call it. The murderer/s would have been caught and HUNG (unless an American or Swedish human rights organization intervened on their behalf). That’s a deterrent. The death penalty has been abolished in the New Barbaric South Africa.

Update III (April 26): Thanks to Phil for his translation. He writes:

Here is the translation of the voice on the Video clip. First of all this is an official Police Video. It appears from the background voice that two policemen are present. I do not know who first raised the alarm but suspect that these two arrived after the police who were initially called, handed it over to them. It is an emotionless description of the crime scene, so there are no guesses or opinions offered by them. My Afrikaans is not great, but here goes:

It is a murder scene. In front of you is the body of a white man with a tire on his chest and a bed cover thrown over him. He has multiple stab wounds to the chest. It looks as if this is the spot where he was murdered. According to a doctor it occurred about four hours ago Here we see the face. The stab wounds in his chest can be clearly seen. (Now takes hand) You see the left hand of the man with stab wounds from the attack. The thumb is almost cut off. The right hand shows similar injuries. (camera closes in on torso) There is also a stab wound on the right side of his chest.
(Now moves to following morning!) It is July 03 1986 at 10:20 am This door (a backroom in on the property) was broken open (presumably by the police) at 09:20am where we discover the body of a woman and two schoolchildren. The child is hanging from a rafter. The woman is also hanging from a rafter. Her clothes are disorderly as a result of the attack. You can see that the belt used with her trousers is broken and she is bruised on her side and also badly on her face. (Camera points to thin rope with loop on the floor) This rope was used to strangle them before hanging them up.
The schoolboy has rope between his chin and front bottom teeth, but on closer examination you can see the main part of the rope embedded in his neck.
(Camera turns to schoolbag lying on the floor next to murdered young girl) The school bag suggests that she had just returned from school when this occurred. (Camera now turns on to schoolgirl) The mark that we can see on her neck was caused by the thinner rope. The neck shows the rope bruises.
(The camera now goes to the room occupied by the live in domestic servant. They notice the tie may have belonged to murderer) and the general untidiness of the bed. The woman may have been initially tied up here. (the camera pans the premises and shows the back door close to where the man was murdered and says so)
The camera now goes back to the woman who is being taken out on a mortuary gurney.) The detective shows the short thinner piece of rope used to strangle her, still on her neck, saying the same. (The camera now pans the back area of the house) Here we see the back area of the house. There is a bar and a snooker room there.

And that is it!

It may seem brutal but this is really quite tame compared to what is now going on here now. At this moment, a one year old toddler is lying in the Sunninghill Clinic in a critical state with a fractured skull. She was at home with her minder (also attacked) when they were home during a “House Robbery” Yeah, that’s what it is called and it! It happens all the time. To get an up to date perspective on the current situation visit www.AfricanCrisis.com . The story of the toddler features there. To see the names of the murdered farmers go to the Dutch site www.censorbugbears.com.
It looks like this place is in serious trouble. The problem with a genocide is that people only seem to notice it once it has happened!
Regards,
Phil

Another day, another murder. Ilana, you may not know this, but in today’s star, burglers beat a baby almost to death. Front page news. As usual, the police cannot give too many details (mainly because they are not interested).

For those not living in SA, you folks have no idea what it is like.

The carnage continues, now they have attacked a 1 year old innocent child, her only crime is that she is white. God when will this end. To call these attackers animals is a severe insult to animals as animals are honorouble beings. Anybody who could do something like this is surely a demon right out of the depths off Hell itself.

Baby fights for her life after attack
    2010-04-23 09:06

    Sapa and Beeld
Johannesburg – A year-old baby brutally assaulted during an apparent robbery in Randburg was still in a serious condition in hospital, an official said on Friday.

Sandton Medi-Clinic spokesperson Liezel Furlong said the baby girl’s condition was serious but would not give any further details.

“At this stage nothing has changed and the child is still in a serious condition,” she told Sapa.

    Brutal attack

Police remain tight-lipped about their investigation into the attack at a house in Robin Hills, Randburg north of Johannesburg on Thursday, during which the baby and her caregiver were brutally attacked.

Colonel Eugene Opperman said he had spoken to the baby’s mother and the caregiver, but would not share any more information with the media.

“The investigation will go on. We have nothing more to tell you than what we have already given out,” he said.

Paramedics said the woman and baby were taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

“They were both transported to hospital in a critical condition,” ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said.

The child minder was taken to Helen Joseph hospital with gashes to the forehead and behind her ear.

    Skull fractures

Beeld reported that the baby’s mother, Madelein Kruger, arrived home from work at 13:00 to find the baby unconscious and the caregiver beaten and tied up.

The baby was assaulted so badly that she sustained multiple skull fractures and stopped breathing.

Opperman told Beeld it was not known how many attackers had been at the house or how they had gained access.

He was also unable to say with what they had assaulted the victims.

Olga Rossouw, who lived across from the Kruger family, told Beeld that the baby’s mother ran into her house shortly after 13:00 carrying the baby, who was limp and covered in blood.

“Ollie, Ollie, what should I do?!” she screamed at Rossouw.

The child was not breathing and had a huge wound above her right eye.

Rossouw pressed the emergency button linked to Piranha Security, a local security company.

A few minutes later their emergency workers arrived on the scene and immediately resuscitated the baby.

    ‘Cowards’

Managing director of Piranha Security, Allan Stott, said after the baby started breathing again, they put her in an emergency vehicle and rushed her to hospital.

“On the way, she twice stopped breathing and they had to resuscitate her again,” told Rossouw.

“Who would do something like that to a small, vulnerable baby?”

Opperman denounced the attackers as “cowards”.

“Only cowards attack women and one-year-old babies. That is why we will turn over everything that has to be turned over to find these cowards,” said Opperman.

Beeld learned that the baby’s mother was too badly shocked to speak to police. She was later also taken to hospital.

It is believed that only a laptop and modem were missing from the house

    Robbers kill couple’s last child
    2010-04-23 10:15

    Arisja Jacobs, Beeld
Johannesburg – An elderly couple lost their third and last surviving child after he was murdered next to their double bed.

Pastor Hennie Oosthuyse comforted Jannie and Marie Strydom by saying that Paul Strydom, 52, had loved his parents so much that he gave his life to protect his mother.

The couple’s eldest child, Chris, died in a motorbike accident at the age of 20 in 1976 and their youngest son, Johan, 46, died four years ago when he committed suicide.

Paulla, as everyone in the town called the Strydoms’ son, was a bachelor and lived with his parents in a humble house in München Street.

His father woke up with a fright at 02:00 when the light in the main bedroom was switched on.

‘I was sure he wanted to rape me’

“Four young armed men stormed into the room. They forced me onto my stomach and tried to tie my hands behind my back,” he said.

A robber went to fetch Paulla in his room and forced him into his parents’ bedroom where he was ordered to lie down on the ground next to the bed, on the side where his mother was still lying.

“They then screamed: ‘Where are your daughters?'” a deeply shocked Marie told on Thursday.

“When I told them that we only had Paulla, one of them grabbed me by the ankle and tried to pull me from the bed. I was sure he wanted to rape me.”

Paulla lifted his body to try to help his mother but was shot in the chest.

His parents said the bullet hit his heart.

“He just sighed and died,” his crying father told.

The murderers presumably got a fright and took only Marie’s cellphone before fleeing.

    Third and last child

“Oh, I don’t know…I just don’t know,” she muttered on Thursday morning. “If they wanted money I would’ve given it to them.

“Paulla loved us so much. He regularly brought me little gifts. Just the other day, he brought me this rag doll,” she said while holding the soft toy.

“How do you survive something like this? It is my third and last child that has now died.”

A few of Paulla’s friends who arrived at the house on Thursday said they would remember this boilermaker from the Harmony mine for his kind-heartedness.

“Paulla especially loved three things: His parents, his cat Mei-Mei and his Nissan bakkie.”

I’m assuming the efforts in investigating these atrocities are no more efficient or meaningful than the those that made Johannesberg a world class city.

    Ms. Mercer,
Are those committing and condoning these atrocities, as well as those wholly apathetic to the mass serial murders, a purely racial entity crossing all, most, or many tribes? Or is this mainly the result of just the ANC’s strict devotion to the Communist modus operandi?

Many times on this blog I have commented on the terrible situation in SA. When I was a small boy I would stand by the railroad track and chunk pine cones at the passing freight trains. That’s what I feel like now. It’s bad enough that this situation in SA has evolved as it has but what’s really disheartening is it was so predictable. Africa is no mystery. Going back to the Mau Mau emergency in Kenya, the mass murders in the Congo and other “movements” on the dark continent. Nothing can be done in SA and all we can do is watch.

Not wishing to minimize the current crisis through over-intellectualizing, it nevertheless seems to me that matters lead back to many westerners’ (especially Anglo-Saxons’) love of the “ideal” (democracy, freedom, racial equality, multiculturalism, what-have-you) over the physical well-being of their kin. Although I would expect no response from the British government to the ongoing murder of Afrikaner farmers, the racial violence affects, or will affect, Anglo-South Africans as well and nary a murmur from Whitehall or Buckingham Palace. It almost seems as though there is an “acceptable level of blood sacrifice” deemed necessary in order to promote western values in a non-western country.

  8. Barbara Grant

Correction to my last: substitute “among a non-western population” for “a non-western country.”

  9. Gerry T. Neal

How far do they have to go in South Africa before the mainstream media can no longer ignore it? Last year Canada granted refugee status to a white South African man who claimed that he was targeted for violence because of his race. He was probably the only real refugee we have let in in years. The progressive bloggers and commentators immediately began whining and crying about what an insult to South Africa it was to suggest that there could still be racial violence there in the post-apartheid era. The facts were not just ignored they were actually denied by some of these commentators. Do we have to wait until the time when there is not an Afrikaner left in South Africa before they admit what is going on?

From the narration the video is from July 1986 (at the 2:26 mark this is said). The hatred for whites is not a recent development.

  11. Anonymous

Just to add to my comment above. The video is quite striking when you compare it against similar murders happening almost daily in South Africa now.

In 1986, the expectation was that criminals will be caught and punished. Police were more competent in 1986 than now, where affirmative action and other social engineering imperatives are now driving the hiring process in the police than competency and literacy. The video is quite harrowing to watch, but the bodies are apparently intact – no mutilation, and death was quick.

Compare that to accounts heard about cases in South Africa now, where humiliation, torture and rape are common, and bodies are violated, or body parts are removed.

Not to say that more hideous murders didn’t take place 20+ years ago (I don’t know), but this video is an interesting contrast to ponder what and how things have changed in South Africa. From a basically functional and relatively pleasant and peaceful place for all its inhabitants, to the nightmare it is now – and I dare to include *all* the inhabitants, black and white.

I’m glad we are not there anymore.

Ilana – thanks for the attention you continue to focus on the tragedy that is unfolding in South Africa.

[Invaluable insights vis-a-vis the thorough police work we hear over the visual. I did not think of it—why we were hearing good forensic work, given the state of the SAPC NOW. Please provide email; see posting policy. Mail remains anon.]

Barbara, I don’t think the Anglo-Saxon love of the ideal or the promotion of Western values leads to this indifference. In fact it is the opposite. It is the hatred of Western Civilization and the refusal to defend it that leads to this indifference. I imagine deep down many elite whites think what is happening to the SA farmers is some sort of justice.

  13. Barbara Grant

    Derek,

Point taken, thank you for providing this perspective.

  14. Myron Pauli

Even many Jews, otherwise vulnerable to leftist philosophy, pause a little over the thought of having the Jews of Israel being ruled by Arabs. On the other hand, the South African utopia appears to be gaining acceptance in the American left (as in the Obama Administration and its supporters).

  15. Harry Jukes

There is no way that anyone can dispute the fact that the blacks want to kill the whites. They say openly that Africa is for the blacks! Why can Europeans then not say what blacks say without being called white supremacists?
