Update II: The POTUS & The Pleasure Principle

Barack Obama, Etiquette, Healthcare, Media

They barely reported it, and were mum about the implications: President OBama hit the golf course on Memorial Day. The parrot press pretended it was the thing to do, filibustering with white noise like: “It was not immediately clear who joined the president for the round of golf.”
Every time Bush retreated to cut brush on his Crawford ranch (much to my relief), the same moron menagerie denounced him for dereliction of duty. Denunciations of the disrespect the POTUS showed “our warriors” and a word or two about the “dignity of the office” would have been in place were the media in the habit of speaking truth to the Obama powerhouse.

Did you notice how Barry and Bride routinely get decked-up and fly out for a night on the Town — usually a different town than the one they live in — after their posse shuts it down? Next is a big, shiny Jacuzzi tub on the White House lawn. Mark my words.

Update I (June 1): The Mail Online on THE PRICE OF KEEPING THE POTUS OUT OF MISCHIEF FOR AN EVENING:

“The romantic jaunt is estimated to have cost the taxpayer more than £45,000 in transport and security costs – because the date was in New York.

The President used three planes, one to carry the couple and two to ferry aides and reporters all the way from Washington.

The cost of each flight was thought to be nearly £15,000.

The bill was pushed even higher with the use of two helicopters, one to take the Obamas to catch their plane in Washington and another to zip the party into Manhattan from JFK airport.

Police also shut down New York streets for the motorcade to pass through so they could get to their date on time.”

Update II: Trivial, I know, but scroll down for a glimpse of Michell Obama’s wings—a photo of her ripped back. Freaky.

Updated: Media’s Judicial Jiu-Jitsu For ‘Da Big Man’

America, Barack Obama, Democracy, IMMIGRATION, Justice, Law, Media, Multiculturalism, Race, The Zeitgeist

The excerpt is from my new column, now on Taki’s Magazine, “Big Man Obama and His Diversity Princess”:

“We’ve been ‘spared’ warning of Strongman Obama’s Orwellian overreach because a Big Man has big guns: the menagerie of morons that is the American media.

The Chief is working in the same tradition as The Decider, only with even less scrutiny and far more impunity.

…the media’s judicial jiu-jitsu has been unconscionable. Are the legal writings and judicial rulings of Judge Sotomayor being scrutinized? Not on your life. Right away, the usual menagerie of morons took on the construction of a meta-argument invalidating the GOP’s yet-to-be-made case against Sotomayor, if you get my drift.

An argument against an argument!

From NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell to the lowliest Democratic strategist: all are advising viewers, first, that to oppose Sotomayor is to risk Hispanic ire. And second, that in order to dodge death by demographics, Republicans must continue to court Latinos slavishly.

For example, making too much of Sotomayor’s Wise Latina Woman cretinous comment is unwise for Republicans, the talking twits tell us. Judge Sotomayor suggested in 2001 that ‘a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.’

The consensus among the commentariat is that this is no time for the GOP to come to the defense of paleface: white judges or white firefighters. (Sotomayor washed her hands off the white, New Haven firefighters, and upheld racial discrimination against them.) The so-called incontrovertible truth at which the Obama media minions are getting is this:

The GOP’s powerbase hangs on Hispanics.

Dogged demographer Steve Sailer has been dispelling this manufactured dogma convincingly for close to a decade …”

Olbermann’s State Worship

Britain, Government, Hillary Clinton, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Media, The State

Obama’s Doberman, Keith Olbermann, thinks he’s so smart. However, Olbermann appears clever only because he swims in such polluted professional waters. When the competition on cable is “Billo,” Barack’s bitch gets to cleave to his delusions of cleverness.

This partisan hack tickled himself pink by savaging Michael Savage for his alleged hypocrisy. For his strident commentary, the Talker was banned from the police state of the UK, and has since solicited Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s assistance in reversing this ban. Olbermann delighted in pointing out that:

It is delicious irony that [Savage] must call on the State Department, after calling our new Secretary of State everything from Godless, Hitler-like, to responsible for the death of JFK Jr, to accusing her of starting a race war.

Now Savage is forced to seek Hilary’s diplomatic intervention, gloated Keith.

This is the reaction of a born-and-bred statist, with a skewed perspective on the role of government. Keith thinks of citizens as subjects.

Hillary is supposed to SERVE Savage, stupid! It matters not how disrespectful Savage has been to Hillary, or to any other politician. They work for him. It is incumbent upon politicians to help the people at whose pleasure they serve. What else is their function? Ornamental? As deities, objects of supplication, to be held close to the adoring heart, as Keith holds Obama?

Keith’s statism trips him up again and again, but no one is the wiser, becasue, all are statist partisans now.
