Divisive Obama preaches unity:

One of the questions posed to Barack Obama by the adoring press corp: How long before you were at ease on the job?

The Neoconservative & Left-Libertarian Positions: Liberty Is Universal

Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, libertarianism, Liberty, Neoconservatism, Paleolibertarianism

Judge Andrew Napolitano, courted by libertarians on the Right, articulates the essence of left-libertarianism, left-liberalism and neoconservatism. (The “What if?” style of writing is hard to stomach, too.)

What if liberty really is attached to humanity? What if all rational people yearn for personal freedom? What if the government — in order to stay in power — has detached liberty from humanity and made it a gift of the state instead of a gift of God? What if government knows that by restricting and then expanding liberty, it can command loyalty?

Essentially, liberty has no cultural or historical or religious dimension; it’s a universal quest. Inside every Afghani or Yemeni is a Jeffersonian waiting to break free. Blame governments, not the people, for barbarism in certain parts of the world (which is what I call a form of social determinism, “the state made me do it”).

Napolitano’s position is not paleolibertarianism, but it’s a position inherent in left-libertarianism, left-liberalism and neoconservatism.

Let’s Hope Newt Gingrich Has Been Neutered As VP

Donald Trump, Neoconservatism, Race, Racism, Republicans

While cuddling with Van Jones (former special advisor for green jobs to Barack Obama, and all-round politically privileged and successful African-American), Newt Gingrich said this:

… it’s more dangerous to be black in America… it’s more dangerous in that you’re substantially more likely to end up in a situation where the police don’t respect you where you could easily get killed. I think sometimes for whites it’s difficult to appreciate how real that is.
“It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this … If you are a normal, white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.

Gingrich got even dumber. On July 11, Bill O’Reilly played clips of Gingrich saying that if a white president had gone on about a dead white kid who looked just like him; it should be deemed racist.

How stupid. I hate this game of, “What if a conservative had said this; what if a white person had said this.” Invariably the claim doesn’t check out. Obama is a racist not because he disgorged that longing line about Trayvon Martin, but because of the context detailed in “America’s Sick of Obama’s Racial Dog-Whistles .”

Obama is blackist racist not because of that Trayvon line, but because the president has demonstrated he identifies with black America as against white America.

Is Martha MacCallum racist because she was the only anchor who had the heart to poignantly remember one beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, all-American boy, who looked like her son and died by an ugly, malevolent hate-filled Muslim?

“A nineteen year old, suburban boy. Strawberry blond, athletic, bright and smiley. … When I look at this picture of Brendan Tevlin,” wrote MacCallum, for the Fox News Insider, “I think, he could have been my son.”

Brendan Tevlin was murdered in suburban America by a Jihadi, as he drove home to mom. A precious boy’s death at the hands of the detritus of humanity did not rate a mention by the moron media.

MacCallum writes from the heart. Her lede hints at a president that saw fit to tell the nation that he identified with the Trayvon Martins of the world, not the Tevlins.

MacCallum’s plainspoken column reaches deeper than the convoluted fare of most. From her perch at Fox News, the anchor can’t be expected to go further and state that Barack Obama has often demonstrated he is the president of black America; cares most about things African (he’s sending the military to degrade Ebola) …

UPDATED (4/6/018): Swollen Heads At National Review Exposed

America, Elections, Family, Labor, Neoconservatism, Political Economy, Race, Republicans, Welfare

National Review’s Kevin D. Williamson “reached peak leftism” when he declared his sympathies were “more with John Brown than John Calhoun,” in an article titled “We Have Officially Reached Peak Leftism” (June 24, 2015). In 1856, Brown’s free-soil activists snatched five pro-slavery settlers near Pottawatomie Creek, Kansas and split the captives’ skulls with broadswords, in an act of biblical retribution gone mad.

So it’s not that surprising that Williamson’s exquisite moral compass has led him to wish death upon white, working-class America. According to Breitbart.com, Williamson wrote this:

The truth about these dysfunctional, downscale communities is that they deserve to die. Economically, they are negative assets. Morally, they are indefensible. Forget all your cheap theatrical Bruce Springsteen crap. Forget your sanctimony about struggling Rust Belt factory towns and your conspiracy theories about the wily Orientals stealing our jobs. Forget your goddamned gypsum, and, if he has a problem with that, forget Ed Burke, too. The white American underclass is in thrall to a vicious, selfish culture whose main products are misery and used heroin needles. Donald Trump’s speeches make them feel good. So does OxyContin. What they need isn’t analgesics, literal or political. They need real opportunity, which means that they need real change, which means that they need U-Haul.

This is not passionate writing; it’s plain hateful. Whatever merit there is in the indictment of working-class Americans—a case made well by political scientist Charles Murray, in “Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010”—this ain’t it. Williamson writes in arrogance and contempt.

But, as further divulged by Breitbart, another National Review staff writer feels as Williamson does. He is David French (the object of my new column, “Someone Should Tell Bill Kristol Dwarf Tossing Is Cruel”). The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol’s candidate to run an independent presidential campaign is down with Williamson:

[French] described Williamson’s piece as “excellent” and said that Williamson’s words were “fundamentally true and important to say.”

French went on to dismiss the struggles white working class Americans endure.

“Citizens of the world’s most prosperous nation, they face challenges — of course — but no true calamities,” French wrote.

While French suggests that the decline of America’s middle class and manufacturing power is no true calamity, others could argue that the greater a nation or culture, the more sorrowful it is to witness its decline — much the same way that history would mourn the destruction of the Palace of Versailles more than the totaling of Justin Bieber’s car.

French insists that the devastation of the working-class’ livelihoods is unrelated to failed federal policies such as mass immigration …

I hate the, “Would he be saying this if … ” game. But I’ll indulge this once. It’s apposite. Would Williamson and French ever lay into the black underclass with the same degree of venom?
