UPDATES 10/10: A Ceasefire Deal (As The Bombs Fall), But Not a Peace Agreement: What Will Happen in Gaza After Israeli POW And Scant Few Palestinian Hostages Are Released?

Donald Trump, Foreign Policy, GAZA, Israel, Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Judaism & Jews, Middle East, Palestinians

SUPERB DISSECTION OF WHAT ISA Ceasefire Deal, But Not a Peace Agreement: What Will Happen in Gaza After Hostages Are Released?

Or, how I re-wrote the title, “A Ceasefire Deal (As The Bombs Fall), But Not a Peace Agreement: What Will Happen in Gaza After [Israeli POW] And Scant Few Palestinian Hostages Are Released

What an unusual assembly of excellent minds that speak truth: Mouin Rabbani, a Palestinian Middle East analyst favored greatly in my Gaza Essays, Muhammad Shehada, writer and analyst from Gaza whom I greatly esteem as well, and the best surprise: Ori Goldberg, an Israeli political analyst and scholar, and the first good intellect I’ve heard out of Israel since 2023. I mean it.

MOUIN RABBANI:

… this is an agreement. It’s not a peace agreement. It’s a ceasefire agreement, and a partial one. And given Israel’s previous conduct, and even more importantly, U.S. indulgence for Israel’s conduct, the indulgence of the West as a whole, this is a situation where Israel, should it so choose — and it will so choose, I suspect — will find a method to abrogate this agreement and ensure it is only of a temporary nature.

MUHAMMAD SHEHADA:

Well, the main thing that explains it is that tomorrow is the day where the Nobel Prize Committee will announce the Nobel Peace Prize winner. So, that’s the main thing that comes to mind. Otherwise, the second thing is Qatar. After Israel bombed Doha so viciously, Qatar has been demanding a price from the Trump administration. And Trump’s security reassurances that he gave in this executive order are practically worth nothing….
… This morning, Israel even intensified the bombing way more than before. It’s like they are in a rush, in a hurry, to kill as many people as possible and destroy much of the urban space as much as possible. They’ve been detonating those robotic suicide vehicles since yesterday. They’ve been bombing Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, Gaza City, Al-Sabra, Tel al-Hawa, al-Shati camp. I just saw footage where Israeli tanks are literally bombing people alive on television on the beach, the people that were trying to go back to their homes. One of our colleagues, Motasem Dalloul in Gaza, just lost his third son today, that was murdered by the IDF.

PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO WHAT ORI GOLDBERG SAYS, and with whom I agree, about true politcal power in Israeli society:

… Netanyahu is not an aberration. He’s not an anomaly. He’s the quintessential Israeli prime minister. That’s why he keeps winning, not because he’s a magician who pulls cards out of his sleeve, because he knows this, this is what Israelis approve of. And consistent polling shows that he’s right. While Israelis may have protested his government, while certain sectors of Israeli society did not see themselves aligned with his ministers, the great majority of Israeli Jews supported his government’s policies in Gaza. That is not something that can be wished away. That is still true. His would-be competitors, his would-be heirs from the opposition have never said anything that differed significantly from the genocidal policies we’ve seen for the past two years in Gaza. Netanyahu knows this, and he is using this, as any savvy politician would, to situate himself for further battles….

… it’s more important to talk about Netanyahu himself and why this deal is good for him, not bad for him, because Netanyahu can now be the complete package. Netanyahu was the fearless leader who fought the difficult, inevitable war, but he is now the fearless leader who brings the difficult, inevitable deal. And he is the grown-up in the room. Smotrich and Ben-Gvir are the adolescents. You know, they do whatever they want. They’re juvenile. They have no responsibility. Netanyahu knows what’s what. And he was able to bring the hostages back. And should a snap election be called in Israel over the next six months — there’s very good chance that it will — that makes Netanyahu perhaps the most favored candidate to win the prime ministership again. …
…   the Israeli public considers itself to have undergone the very difficult two years, sees itself as unrightfully victimized by its own government and by every global leader out there, an Israeli public that just wants to get back to normal, which means to repress the fact of the occupation and to return to life as a Jewish and democratic state, effectively an ethnocracy built on Jewish supremacy. …

The rest.

UPDATE 10/10/025: Ha’aretz’s distillation of the “Agreement” and the events around it:

Hamas is inclined to accept U.S. President Trump’s cease-fire plan if certain amendments are made, including a clear commitment from Israel to withdraw from Gaza, officials familiar with talks in Qatar told Haaretz. Israel’s defense ministry said the IDF is besieging Gaza City, adding that “those who remain in the city are terrorists and terror supporters.” The Red Cross said it was forced to temporarily suspend operations in Gaza City due to escalating hostilities. Israeli forces destroyed a stockpile of 15 rockets in the central West Bank, the IDF said. Germany approved arms exports to Israel worth at least 2.46 million euros since implementing a partial export halt on equipment that could be used in Gaza.

Demonstrators lift placards during an anti-government protest calling for a ceasefire and for action to secure the return of Israelis held hostage in Gaza, in front of the Likud party building in Tel Aviv on September 30, 2025.

TRUMP’S PEACE PLAN: Hamas is inclined to accept U.S. President Trump’s cease-fire plan, provided certain amendments are made, officials familiar with talks in Qatar told Haaretz, adding that negotiations cannot progress without a commitment from Israel to withdraw from Gaza. The sources noted that there is currently no timetable for the IDF’s exit from the Strip, nor does the plan adequately explain the demand that Hamas disarm its offensive capabilities.

According to sources, Hamas intends to clarify that it is willing to accept the outline as it was presented last week to Arab leaders, before PM Netanyahu made changes to it, and will likely request guarantees from Qatar, Turkey, the U.S. and other mediators that accepting the proposal does not lead to a situation in which Israel controls the Strip without any obligation to withdraw.

Hamas is consulting with other factions, including Islamic Jihad, to present a unified position in discussions with mediators, sources said, with one adding that Islamic Jihad is pushing to reject Trump’s plan. However, one source said, Hamas recognizes the consequences of outright rejection and has received messages from Gaza indicating that the vast majority of the public expects approval.

Arab diplomats who spoke with Haaretz stressed that Arab states will cooperate with Trump’s original plan as stated, but if Netanyahu, through his amendments or actions, works to undermine it, they will not cooperate. In such a case, they said, Trump would need to clarify whether he supports Netanyahu or stands by his original principles.

A Hamas official told the BBC that the group is expected to reject Trump’s plan, is not ready to disarm, and will not agree to an international force being stationed in the Strip, which it sees as a new form of occupation.

“In the days ahead, Netanyahu will likely attempt to launch a protracted negotiation with the administration regarding the terms of the agreement, its final language, and the implementation timeline. The fact that the drafters of the plan didn’t set a binding timetable for the IDF’s withdrawal could complicate things down the line. At the same time, Netanyahu will leverage objections from the messianic right-wing parties in his coalition and scatter hints and declarations aimed at stressing Hamas and making the organization’s leaders believe that Israel will violate the agreement when the opportunity arises. Israel already violated the previous agreement when it resumed the war last March. Since then, Trump has not lived up to his commitment to impose an agreement after Hamas released U.S.-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander” – Amos Harel

GAZA: The Hamas-run Health Ministry said that Israeli fire has killed 51 people, including four aid-seekers, over the past 24 hours. According to the ministry, two Palestinians died on Wednesday of starvation in Gaza, including a child, and 66,148 have been killed in Gaza since the war started.

The IDF is bisecting the Strip into north and south and besieging Gaza City, Defense Minister Israel Katz said, adding that this is the “last chance for Gaza residents who are interested in moving south and leaving Hamas terrorists isolated in Gaza City itself in the face of IDF activity that continues at full strength” and that those who remain in the city are “terrorists and terror supporters.”

The IDF said it will close Al Rashid Street, the last remaining road connecting Gaza City with the rest of the Strip, effective 12 P.M. on Wednesday.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said that it has been forced to temporarily suspend operations in Gaza City and relocate staff due to escalating hostilities, adding that it “will continue to strive to provide support to civilians in Gaza City, whenever circumstances allow, from our offices in Deir al-Balah and Rafah, which remain fully operational.”

Data from the Hamas-run Health Ministry in recent days indicated a sharp decline in the number of deaths from hunger or malnutrition per day in the last 10 days from about five a day to an average of one person per day. Humanitarian workers said this likely stems either from Israel easing restrictions at the end of July and the subsequent improvement in food access, or from the chaos prevailing in hospitals, which is not allowing the ministry to properly collect data.

“Israel Defense Forces commanders say they fear that an extraordinary incident in the fighting in the Gaza Strip could cause the collapse of negotiations between Israel and Hamas over the new Trump proposal to end the war and bring home the hostages. They said they fear that an attack that results in a large number of civilian deaths or, alternatively, a Hamas operation that led to Israeli troop deaths, could result in renewed escalation and hinder the talks… The IDF brass is having a hard time hiding its desire to reach a deal and end the war in Gaza. Commanders in the field are having a hard time providing answers to the tens of thousands of reservists who have been called up in recent months for another round of combat. Therefore, the IDF wants to release as many reservists as possible the moment political leaders announce that the talks are progressing and that the fighting can be brought to a halt” – Yaniv Kubovich

GAZA FLOTILLA: The Global Sumud Flotilla en route to Gaza said early on Wednesday that drone activity is increasing over the flotilla as it nears its destination. Italy and Greece called on Israel not to hurt activists aboard, and urged activists to accept a compromise proposal to hand over aid to the Catholic Church and avoid a direct confrontation with Israel. Flotilla members have repeatedly rejected the proposal, saying that a key part of their mission is to expose Israel’s naval blockade on Gaza, which they consider unlawful.

ISRAEL: Four IDF soldiers were sentenced to 10 days in prison after refusing to travel in an unarmored Humvee in broad daylight along a dangerous route in Gaza, Israel’s public broadcaster reported. “Missions like this are done either in a tank, an armored vehicle or at night,” said one of the soldiers, adding that “we’re like sitting ducks there in daylight. It’s easy to get hit by a sniper or an RPG.”

Rocket sirens sounded in several Gaza border communities, the IDF said, adding that two rockets were likely intercepted and no casualties or damage were reported.

WEST BANK: Israeli forces located and destroyed a stockpile with 15 rockets in the central West Bank overnight into Wednesday, the IDF said.

Settlers set fire to a Palestinian-owned shed in the town of Hawara, Palestinian media reported.

GERMANY: Germany approved arms exports to Israel worth at least 2.46 million euros ($2.9 million) since implementing a partial export halt on equipment that could be used in the Gaza conflict, a response from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs to a parliamentary inquiry by Die Linke (The Left) party showed. The shipments involved “other military goods” and did not include weapons of war, the ministry said.

Excerpt:

Let us be clear about what freedom of speech à la America truly means:

The words people speak, chant, write and tweet; the beliefs they are known to hold, the flags they fly or burn, the symbolic, non-violent ceremonies and rituals they enact, the insignia, paraphernalia; the goose-stepping, Hitler salutes they muck around with—provided no physical aggression is involved (violence against animals included), all this counts as protected speech, licit in natural law.

So long as oddities and idiosyncrasies, whether performed alone or in groups, thoughts harbored privately or shared in public—so long as no violence accompanies such speech or behavior; so long as your mitts stop at the next man’s face (or at the next mutt’s fury face, Kristi Noem): SPEECH. It’s all speech. It should be free, unfettered and as wild and as wanton as can be.

At their worst, expressions of ostensible antisemitism, Naziism, racisms or other antipathies amount to thought crimes, nothing more, if expressed as a belief system severally or collectively, rather than in palpably violent actions.  Whether your thoughts are spoken, chanted, written or preached; be they impolite or impolitic: they are, at worst, no more than thought crimes.

Thought crimes are nobody’s business in a free society. Thought crimes ought to be ferociously protected by a free people. By logical extension, any accusations of antisemitism, Naziism or other antipathies and racisms, are especially suspect when emitted as a meme from American institutionalized power structures.

One such obscenely wealthy and worthless power structure is the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), or Defamation League—a more apt moniker once suggested by Elon Musk, before he joined the ADL in severely censoring some speech on the X platform. The ADL is a meddlesome shakedown operation, in the mold of the Southern Poverty Law Center (“Smear Artists for the Total State,” wrote Tom DiLorenzo). It has taken it upon itself to decide who lives and who dies socially and financially on the basis of the unfortunate individual’s ideas, spoken and written.

In the American tradition, thoughts and words spoken or written that are politically impolite—again, racism; Naziism, antisemitism—retain protected status as speech beyond the adjudication of law-makers, bureaucrats, mediacrats, educrats and technocrats.

Sniffing out racists or anti-Semites is an absolute no-no for any and all self-respecting, libertarian-minded Americans, or any American, for that matter. Like creedal libertarians, Americans don’t, or should not, prosecute thought crimes or persecute thought “criminals.”

Ours should be The Skokie Standard of free speech and thinking (which I articulated in August 2022). What is The Skokie Standard of free speech? In 1978, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) took a stand for free speech by defending a neo-Nazi group that wanted to march through the Chicago suburb of Skokie, where many Holocaust survivors lived. The Skokie Standard of free speech is one that champions unpopular expression, and vigorously defends all marginalized speakers and thinkers, rather than purveying and protecting state and corporate ideology du jour.

…    Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk, RIP, got it. On May 2, 2024, Kirk wrote the following: “Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And ALL of it is protected by the First Amendment. Keep America free.”

Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi doesn’t get it. No wonder even Glenn Greenwald, once a practicing constitutional attorney—and a man of manners and decorum—regularly appends “dumb” and “lacking any grasp of constitutional law” to any mention of Bondi, who said this after Kirk’s murder:

The Justice Department would “absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech…

…  Left, Right and libertarian; we can and must, then, join in unapologetically rejecting the very idea of policing, purging, persecuting or prosecuting people for holding and expressing politically unpopular ideas in action or in speech.

IRAN: Everything You Need To Know But Were Too Afraid Of The Israel Lobby To Ask

Foreign Policy, GAZA, Iran, Israel, Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Middle East, Palestinians, Propaganda, Terrorism

Israel is an ‘annihilatory state.’ It does not seek to live alongside its Arab and Persian neighbors as an equal. Rather, it aims to maintain hegemony across the Middle East. At bottom, Israeli atavists don’t want educated, erudite neighbors, equals with whom to make magic in the region; they want subjects they can sanction and slaughter into submission. ~ilana

There exists in Israel a condition that is as much a part of the nation’s collective ‘soul,’ as it is the ‘souls’ of individual Israelis. The mindset is Jewish supremacy; the shared endeavor emanating from it is regional, military supremacy. ~ilana

Latest essay is “IRAN: Everything You Need To Know But Were Too Afraid Of The Israel Lobby To Ask“. The fallacies examined are “Iran’s ‘Rogue’ Status,” “Iran & Terrorism” and “IRAN & WMD.” Then it’s “Back To Beginnings: Palestine.” This is really about Palestine.

It was a main feature on The Unz Review, home to dissidents from day one. And on LewRockwell.com, antiwar, anti-state, pro-market.

Now on IlanaMercer.com

Excerpts from here and there:

IT’S ABOUT PALESTINE. Of all the known facts about Israel’s war of aggression against Iran, now nominally suspended by Trump, this is the most important. Incisively put by Craig Mokhiber, “Iran is the last, independent, frontline state that refuses to submit, to normalize the crimes against the Palestinian people.” Quite simply, “Iran was being punished for its support for the Palestinians.” If you are free of the prefrontal lobotomy that comes with subscriptions to the Murdoch or Adelson Media; you will grasp this.

Israel’s unprovoked, illegal war against Iran was not in anticipatory self-defense by any stretch, explains Mokhiber—prominent and principled scholar on the international law (always bringing it back to its natural-law elements). It was old-fashioned aggression, Normalized by Israel and its sponsors, wars of aggression are considered the “supreme crime” in international law (the natural law and libertarian law are agreed).

Israel’s trademark terrorism was aimed at sundering Iranian sovereignty. Before the Iranian Revolution, locus of control over Iranian affairs resided in Washington, D.C., a synonym, we can now all agree, for Tel Aviv. The 1979 Revolution took decision-making away from Tel-Aviv and returned it to Teheran. What the 1979 Iranian Revolution militated against; Israel seeks to reinstate.

For its part, the United States of America, Israel’s lickspittle co-belligerent, is now viewed, certainly in West Asia, as a mulish military power that doesn’t know Shiite from Shinola.

Trump, you’ll recall, stumped our county—the president has forgotten at whose pleasure he serves—promising peace. He delivered war. Commentators Chas Freeman and Scott Ritter, both in-the-know, had divulged early on that the president had been engaged in “diplomacy-as-deception” with Iran. Having connived with Israel, Trump knew in advance of Israel’s impending “surprise” attack. He had engaged in fake negotiations with the Islamic Republic. With the help of the CIA, Mossad and MI5—the Israeli terrorists then smuggled the needed materiel into Iran. A con-man, concluded Dr. Foad Izadi, an Iranian academic.

Not that Israel needs a reason to war—but more so than a war of aggression for regime change, Israel’s June 13 sneak attack on Iran was meant to eliminate Iran as we know it.

Professor John Mearsheimer, one of America’s most distinguished scholars of international relations, offers a description of Israeli aims in terms that contradict the defunct, deceptively Panglossian ideas of a “two-state solution” and a “peace process.” Over and above regime change, Israel, in Mearsheimer’s always-careful estimation, has a “deep-seated interest” in breaking apart—in fracturing—the surrounding nations. …

Not unrelated to the manufacture of Israel’s casus belli is that the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) appears to no longer act impartially, as it did in the build up to war on Iraq, under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed ElBaradei. The utterances of Rafael Grossi, the IAEA’s mercurial director general, had helped justify kinetic action against Iran. …

Prior to Israel’s unprovoked war of choice on Iran, the vainglorious Grossi had been roaming the region, raising alarm about the Islamic Republic. Distilled, Grossi’s May 31, 2025 report, “Verification and monitoring in the Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council resolution 2231 (2015),” very plainly equates his annoyance with Iran with weapons-grade enrichment by Iran.

Grossi’s hornet’s nest is in the IAEA’s use of Palantir necro-software. According to Wikipedia, Grossi’s hokum WMD report was generated for the IAEA by Palantir Artificial Intelligence software.

Palantir makes a tidy sum in the necro-industry, peddling software for mass surveillance (and attendant, “alleged” executions). In Gaza, Palantir software is “alleged” to have enabled Israel’s Unit 8200 in the algorithmic generation of kill lists.

Without evidence other than “a mosaic of AI storytelling,” Grossi had continued to cook up stories against Iran. Following the June 22 American aerial and amphibian strikes on that heavily sanctioned nation; Grossi took to blabbering about amounts, down to the kilogram, of uranium enriched and secreted away in Iran. Sometimes it was 400 kilograms, other times 900. Post haste, the agency’s WMD sightings have since been walked back. “We did not have any proof of a systematic effort to move into a nuclear weapon,” Grossi sheepishly told CNN’s Christian Amanpour on June 17. …

… Israel’s “strategic perspective” requires everywhere and always an enemy. This designated enemy will be tarnished by a blood libel, an abstraction: he, she or they will be said to be antisemitic, baying for Jewish blood. This blood libel ignores the truth, because when facts and reality are scrutinized, it’s Arabs that are being exterminated daily en masse, with western grants of government privilege, not Israelis.

You have to hand it to Israel. It has positioned itself as the world’s cross, a curse that every individual not Jewish-Israeli is born into and must carry like an albatross.” ~ ©2025 ilana

Israel, Thy Name is Death (8/3): AOC. Good Morning, Genocide ‘Scholars’. Red Heifer Murder, IDF, FIRE CENTER MASS. Deliberately. Don’t Let Them Lie.

Israel is a criminal entity, and a threat to the comity of nations… … the IDF is not a fighting force; it’s an Airforce. Judged from its actions over time, this Airforce’s objectives are not to defeat a regular army. But to pound population centers into submission—in Gaza, across the Levant, and beyond, in Iran. …targeting them and their habitat for Total Warfare. …Since war against civilians is a war on civilization; Israel, by extension, is an ENEMY OF CIVILIZATION. ~ilana

“Deniers of the Palestinian Holocaust—Bari Weiss, Biden, Bibi, Blinken, Douglas Murray, Dennis Prager, Donald Trump—should be parachuted into occupied, massacred, starved Gaza, so that Genocide becomes their ‘lived reality,’ not their rhetorical reality to deny.”~ilana (“The Real Israel Vs. ISRAEL THY NAME IS DEATH

July 19: AOC, so-called woman of The People, fails to support Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment to cut-off substantial assistance to Israel, because she, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, says she supports Israel’s “self-defense,” namely supplying the “genocidal entity” with offensive, Iron Dome capabilities.

The Iron Dome stops a corrective feedback mechanism known as … punishment. At this stage of Israel’s genocide of Gaza, a majority of your constituents, AOC, want to see Israel punished militarily, not protected militarily. The woman, AOC, remains true to her original boss, Genocide Joe.

July 23: Kid looks for water. Gets sniped by IOF.

Quit interviewing—giving voice, soliciting “confessions” from IOF aka IDF active-duty-killers.
The same goes for Israeli politicians, celebrities, influences, the Piers Morgan media, and assorted Jane and Johnny-Come-Latelies, who have begun to denounce the Palestinian genocide, now that the genocide has been accomplished. Report on their convenient “change of heart” at the 11th hour. Raise an eyebrow. Pass the names to the Hind R Foundation. BUT DO NOT LEGITIMIZE the crime of all crimes with personalized coverage of the perps.

Please:  Interviews of teary genociders constitutes a reward. Makes you look like you are sympathetic.

As we speak, this many times over:

July 23: NO, Daily Express! Gaza Genocide shames you: the Piers Morgan media, your handler, Israel (state & society), its sponsors and collaborators: USA, UK, Germany & every other government, North and South, that has watched, denied, exculpated and refused to stop the 21 Century Holocaust.

Military action now!

Daily_Express Headline, “The suffering of little Muhammad clinging on to life in Gaza hell shames us all”

July 22: Eventually all newborns will die.

July 22: Middle East Eye

July 20: Times of Gaza.

ISRAELI IMPERVIOUSNESS (7/19):   “The Israeli imperviousness to the suffering and horrors in Gaza will not conceal the truth.” So blares Ha’aretz Hebrew’s Headline for July 19.
As always, Hebrew content is different from the English fare served to the “goyim” (a derogatory coinage for non-Jews). As Ali Abunimah likes to say, “Israelis think Hebrew is their secret language.”

MURDERED (7/18): “Yes, in Gaza about 100,00 human being were already ‘killed,” writes Ha’arets Hebrew, to which I will now subscribe, since fluent in proper Hebrew (as opposed to the bastardized, Pidgin, English-Hebrew hybrid Israelis speak).
Originally I had subscribed to the English, thinking these versions were identical. But, oh no. What Israel shares with the gentiles is oft quite different. Which is also why, deviously, the paper charges the full price for the adding the Hebrew edition to an extant subscription.

In September 20, 2024, I ventured, in “Genocide is a Crime, Not a War Crime; Israel is Waging Genocide, Not War,” that “by the time the Israeli serial killers are cajoled into stopping the genocide there could be between 250 to 500,000, maybe more, Palestinian deaths brought about by Israel, in the informed opinion of American patriots like Ralph Nader.”

ISRAEL IS DEATH (7/16): You don’t come back from starvation. While the brain is plastic, damage it at crucial developmental stages and the child is doomed.
Via https://972mag.com comes the face of Israel and its helpers: “Israel is blocking 6,000 UNRWA trucks from entering Gaza while children die of hunger. UNRWA has over 6,000 trucks full of food, hygiene supplies, and medicine waiting just outside of Gaza’s borders. We also have over 1,000 [HEROIC SAINTLY] health workers who can provide lifesaving nutritional services to boys and girls across the Strip. We are ready to move in to help little children” like Salam Wadi. Via 972 Magazine.

SETTLER UPDATE (7/13): The “enlightened” West has not yet called for the outlawing of human sacrifice in Gaza and the West Bank—so what chance does the beautiful, gentle Red Heifer have? Israelis burn helpless children alive. So it goes for an animal: a Red Heifer, or rather an insufficiently-red heifer. Not quite fit for purpose.
Regarding the long-suffering animals Israel/Israelis exterminate, slaughter: For now, and for the 1st time in years, I’ve not been able to overcome my disgust over the silence of prominent animal activists to keep up my donations to peta (@IngridNewkirk) and other of my regular animal charities. Donated instead to Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza. No idea if they survived.

July 25: Good Morning, Genocide ‘scholar’

On LinkedIn, you can’t interest activist Philip Lymbery (@philip_ciwf) in Gaza. Can we hear animal charities and activists call to outlaw this Red Heifer sacrifice and practice-sacrifice barbarism? Now? Silence—like the so-called genocide scholars, who carefully positioned themselves, at the onset, to direct public traffic away from certain story-lines and toward others. And who belatedly make the case that was manifestly clear to Craig Mokhiber, Francesca Albenese, and Josh Paul by the year 2023’s end. (“I’m a Genocide ‘Scholar.’ I Know It When I See It,” Omer Bartov, July 15, 2025, New York Times. Note Bartov’s appeal to authority.)

GAZA UPDATE (7/8): NEW Poll: “Overwhelming majority of Jewish Israelis share genocidal belief there are ‘no innocent people in Gaza.” “A Hebrew University poll shows an overwhelming majority of Jewish Israelis agree with the genocidal idea that there are ‘no innocents in Gaza.’”

As to this story: AFTER “An Israeli Soldier Killed a Palestinian [boy] Asleep in His Bed; His Fellow Troops Asked: ‘Are You Crazy?‘ No one believes it.

No one IN THE WORLD believes The LAST part of this IDF crime story. C’mon. It’s like Jeffrey Dahmer asking John Wayne Gacy, “What got into to you, dude?”

It’s just a day in the life of an IDF serial killer and his comrades: Burst into a private home, kill an occupant or two or all, treat survivors like dirt, cover the crime.

Jassem al Sidda was murdered in Jit, a West Bank village.

GAZA UPDATE (6/28):  “Harvard Publishes Report: 377,000 Missing or Dead in Gaza“: The following is nothing you will hear from mainstream, genocide-complicit American media. Or from its scummy politicians and loud podcasters (who’ve gotten away with an occasional nod to the murdered of Gaza but have failed to use their influence to STOP the genocide).

As I foresaw, from the evidence I had collected and the deductions therefrom, made by November of 2023—“twelve months on [we’ll] be speaking of the distinct possibility that—by the time the Israeli serial killers are cajoled into stopping the carnage, there could be between 250 to 500,000, maybe more, Palestinian deaths brought about by Israel.” So I surmised in November of 2023.

Harvard Publishes Report: 377,000 Missing or Dead in Gaza“:

A newly published dataset on Harvard University’s Dataverse platform reveals a catastrophic estimate of the scale of human loss in Gaza. The report, authored by Professor Yaakov Garb of Ben-Gurion University, estimates that 377,000 Palestinians are missing or presumed dead since the start of the Israeli military assault in October 2023. This represents roughly 17% of Gaza’s pre-war population, an unprecedented demographic collapse.
The analysis appears in the Harvard-hosted dataset titled “The Israeli/American/GHF ‘aid distribution’ compounds in Gaza: Dataset and initial analysis of location, context, and internal structure”

8/3/025: I myself have not been able to see this study, but here is another secondary source that appears to have collated some data points from the Garb study:

 Gaza’s Disappeared

The report shows that prior to the 2023-25 siege, Gaza’s population was approximately 2.227 million. Israeli Defense Forces estimate that the three main populated enclaves now contain only 1.85 million people:

Gaza City: 1 million

Mawasi: 0.5 million

Central Gaza: 0.35 million

That leaves 377,000 Gazans whose whereabouts are unknown. While some may be displaced or trapped in inaccessible areas, the report strongly implies that the missing are dead—many likely buried under rubble, dismembered beyond recognition, or perished from starvation and disease in isolation.
This number dwarfs commonly cited death tolls and challenges the sanitized statistics reported in international media. It is not the product of speculation, but of direct analysis of Israeli military data. What Garb calls a “demographic horror story” is also a legal and moral reckoning.

Will anyone pay, starting with Biden and his administration (AOC and Sanders included), Bibi and his entirely complicit coalitions (left and right), Trump (ditto), and down to the still-enthusiastic and orgiastically murderous Israel Defense Force cowards? Still shooting center-mass at starved human beings en route to the Israel-US scam feeding foundation, really a shooting gallery for hundreds of Isra-American cowards in fatigues?

Ha’aretz, amping-up its come-clean coverage, bemoans reports from IDF detritus that, “‘It’s a Killing Field’: IDF Soldiers Ordered to Shoot Deliberately at Unarmed Gazans Waiting for Humanitarian Aid.”
These lax mama’s boys, IDF, could have refused orders to murder ANY TIME. They could miss. They fire center mass. I explained recently, again, in the lecture, “The Real Israel Vs. Hasbara History.” Don’t allow them The Nuremberg Defense, “I was only following orders”.

Iran war

“Little Satan Launches War Of Aggression On Iran; The Great Satan Claims Ignorance, Nudge-Nudge, Wink-Wink”:

The mad-dog medinah (country in Hebrew) strikes Iran, launching a war of aggression on its people. The Great Satan claims no involvement. (Actually, America might need to forfeit this title.) Much like the US has denied involvement in the genocide in Gaza. The US, of course, arms Israel. It could have brought the genocide to an end at any stage of this 21st Century Palestinian Holocaust.

Little Satan’s spokespersons on i24, an Israeli TV station (and a real piece of work), seem pleased. These audacious ghouls—most Israeli news stations are similarly staffed—say they are liberating the Iranian people.  That reminded me of the American endeavor to disarm Iraq of WND. Twelve-year-old Ali Ismail Abbas was indeed disarmed. Hundreds like him.

Most of my information about Iraqi civilian casualties had come from the CBC. Abbas lost both his arms when an American missile smashed into his home, killing both his parents. Sixty percent of his body was covered with burns that turned septic. The hospital director at the Saddam General said there were hundreds like Ali, killed, orphaned or maimed. Their faces are not seen on American networks.” (ON PIMPS AND PRESSTITUTES,” Ilana Mercer, April 23, 2003)

“… a CNN anchorwoman who has probably never had an independent thought in her carefully coiffed head conducted an interview with the befuddled physician of another Iraqi child amputee. The vapid woman repetitively inquired as to whether Ali had been told why he had been ‘disarmed.’ The boy should be ‘helped’ to understand that it was for a Greater Good that he has two bleeding stumps for arms, the woman doggedly insisted.” (MURDER BY MAJORITY, Ilana Mercer, April 23, 2003.)

Nothing changes.

Iranian scientists and military personnel were targeted in their homes—and continue to be eliminated. For, as I said in my address, “The Real Israel Vs Hasbara History,” May 16,

The Axis of Genocide … the Woke Masters of the Western Universe, consider non-woke societies as without the natural right of resistance [or even governance, I might add]. Their resistance we call terrorism.

Israel, as I have documented and anatomized over 22 months, loves nothing more than wiping out Arab and Persian human capital, civilians—intellectuals, reporters, doctors, men and women in the applied and theoretical sciences, in the arts, dogooders, humanitarians. And historical beautiful structures.

Yes, with its bombing of civilian neighborhoods and the unlawful, immoral “decapitation” murders of leaders in Iran, a sovereign state; Little Satan claims to be liberating the Iranians. (And, of course, because of the Holocaust, in case you forgot.)

There is no casus belli.

Trump, as Chas Freeman and Scott Ritter divulged early on, engaged in “diplomacy-as-deception.” He knew. He connived. With the help of CIA, Mossad and the UK poodles of MI5—the Israelis (genocidal terrorists) smuggled the materiel needed into Iran. Meanwhile, Israel has imposed an Internet blackout in Gaza, all the better to continue its murderous bacchanalia, backed by a majority of Israeli-Jews.

Stuff to turn the stomach, raise the BP.

What you get from me, as readers know, is intellectual honesty. If you want the best, most assiduous analysis and investigation of the mad-dog medinah’s war of aggression on Iran—again, there is no casus belli—it is the latest podcast from Dimitri Lascaris, “award-winning lawyer and journalist based in Montreal, Canada and Kalamata, Greece,” who, in “Reason2Resist,” has, over the last 22 months, built a formidable broadcast in terms analytical, empirical and ethical.

The episode “After Playing With Fire, Israel Is Getting Burnt: A Missile War That Israel Can’t Win,” is far and away his best. (Israel, in its unadulterated evil, has shown it can win, but Dimitri’s a positive outlook is probably wiser than my gloom.)

After launching a criminal war of aggression on Iran, the Netanyahu regime waited less than 48 hours to plead with Trump to deploy U.S. military forces against Iran.

While refusing to rule out direct U.S. military intervention at a later date, Trump denied Netanyahu’s request.

Dimitri Lascaris argues that this is mere Kabuki Theatre. Trump’s refusal cannot conceal the obvious reality that the U.S. is already waging war on Iran.

Air defence is one of the many vital ways in which the Trump administration is already assisting Israel. From an air defence perspective, Israel is probably the most highly protected military asset in the Western world, yet Iran has now proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that its missiles and drones can penetrate Israel’s layered air defences with relative ease.

As a result, in the past 24 hours, Israel has suffered severe damage. Moreover, there’s good reason to believe that Iran’s military has not yet hammered Israel with its most powerful weapons.

Will the Trump administration finally rein in its rabid Israeli attack dog, or will Washington become even more desperate to preserve Anglo-American hegemony?

Stand With Iran.

UPDATE (6/20): Two broadcasts are all you need vis-a-vis Israel’s criminal aggression against Iran. The one is above, “After Playing With Fire, Israel Is Getting Burnt: A Missile War That Israel Can’t Win.

The next is “Iran Has A Right To Defend Itself From Israel’s Relentless Aggression w/ Craig Mokhiber.” Craig Mokhiber is someone I often defer to in my own Gaza essays. A fine mind and a good human being.
