Good News: Americans Seceding From Unsafe Public Square

Islam, Jihad, Politics, Private Property, Propaganda, Terrorism

Yesterday, I expressed hopes that you wouldn’t let “politicians win, because politicians win if you don’t withdraw from the public square following terrorist attacks.” (Explained in “Don’t Let Politicians Win; Withdraw From Public Square Following A Terrorist Attack.”)

Today, a Gallup poll does my heart good. It affirms that Americans, at least, are acting rationally. They’re not acting as the politicians instruct them to.

Gallop has found that, “Terrorism Fears Drive More in US to Avoid Crowds”:

38% of Americans less willing to attend large events due to terrorism
Previous high was 32% in 2002
46% less willing to travel overseas due to terrorism concerns

Neocon Condoleezza Rice Tries To Rehabilitate Herself

Bush, Democracy, Iraq, Propaganda, WMD

Condoleezza Rice is misleading again. At the time of Operation Iraqi Freedom, she had compared the Iraqi democracy project to early America’s fits and starts. Basically, America was once Iraq. Iraq will get there. Moreover, she had no right to “overthrow Saddam,” which was as radical an act as one could commit against a sovereign country that had not attacked the US.

“‘We went to Iraq to overthrow Saddam, not bring democracy’ – ex-State Secretary Condoleezza Rice.”

Going into Afghanistan to get Osama bin laden was a legitimate act. Bush had asked the Taliban to relinquish him; they refused. He invaded. Fine. Remaining in that hellhole for decades to bring democracy: that was illegitimate.

UPDATE II (5/11): You’re Fired, James Comey

America, Christianity, Democrats, Donald Trump, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Objectivism, Politics, Propaganda, Russia

James Comey is out. Donald Trump fired the FBI Director. (Read the ‘You’re Fired’ letter.) One wonders what took POTUS so long? Was he waiting for Congress and Comey to orchestrate another career-advancing hearing? Comey provided “four hours of testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee,” on May 3. Boy, did he put on an act. This was Careerism 101 by Comey.

A Republican president fired someone. And OMG! The freaks are free associating. Russia. Putin. Shades of Nixon. Impeach. Tyranny. Is there any doubt Democrats control the received “narrative”?

It’s an alternate reality. Most of it is just not true. Russia, Putin; this that: you know it’s as manufactured as was the invasion of Iraq.  “The proof is not in the Putin“:

The same vague nomenclature deployed by CIA analysts to take Americans to war in Iraq is evident in the agency’s unsubstantiated claims against Russia. In trying to incriminate absent hard evidence, the CIA, as reported by the Washington Post, alludes to “a secret assessment,” nowhere apparent, identifying only “anonymous sources and individuals” in “closed-door briefing.”

During the Bush era, the mantra of Washington operatives like Karl Rove was, “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality.” Not much has changed. Deep State creates reality as they go.

Ignored or rejected as rogue is a reality not of the making of America’s entrenched punditocracy, its self-anointed intelligentsia, slick Big Media, slimy politicians, Democrat and Republican, spooks and bureaucrats.

Back on earth, Hillary lost. Deplorables triumphed over Hillary’s “Antifa” by a smidgen. The degree of contempt for Americans among Democratic leadership and their candidate was revealed through the good works of WikiLeaks, which had exposed the Bush government before Hillary. Deep State doesn’t like to be exposed. Hence the convulsions.

UPDATE (5/10):

Putin channels Bart Simpson, “I didn’t do it.” Whatever IT is:

FBI is rotten:

UPDATE II (5/11):

South African Patriot Steve Hofmeyr Is Closer to Truth Than ANC Propagandist. Naturally.

Crime, Critique, Propaganda, Pseudoscience, South-Africa

Do you believe apartheid-era number crunchers with their typical Western fidelity to record keeping, or the ANC records, crunched by a propagandist at Africa Check?

I’d go with Hofmeyr (or Mercer). For lies in science, no amount of hyperbole from Hofmeyr can match the African National Congress and its supporters in the social “sciences.”

The point of contention: “Are SA whites really being killed ‘like flies’? Why Steve Hofmeyr is wrong.”

Keith B. Richburg is the author of a remarkable journalistic tour de force, “Out of America: A Black Man Confronts Africa.” My own book, “Into The Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa,” recounts Richburg’s surprise at just what a western outpost South Africa was.

Before it reverted to the seething kraal it is today, a South African crime scene was thus processed. Excerpted from “Into The Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa”:

Just before Afrikaners surrendered without defeat, Richburg, Africa bureau chief for The Washington Post from 1991 to 1994, journeyed to South Africa from the killing fields to the north, on assignment. In the course of his duties, he filed a report from the scene of a tribally motivated killing near Johannesburg. Zulu and Xhosa were embroiled in pre-elections strife. Twelve people had been gunned down. A small massacre by African standards—at least, so thought Richburg, who has described Africa as a continent where everywhere black bodies are stacked up like firewood. Imagine his astonishment when “the police, mostly officious-looking white officers with ruddy complexions—came and did what you might expect police to do in any Midwestern American city where a crime has occurred. They cordoned off the area with police tape. They marked the spots on the ground where the victims had fallen.” Topping this CSI-worthy protocol was a statement to the press “promising a ‘full investigation.’” This civilized routine Richburg characterized as utterly misplaced on a continent where nobody counts the bodies; and where chasing down and charging a man with murder is like “handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500.” (Pages 22-23)

State statisticians and record keepers were likewise rather good in the Old South.

So, Nechama Brodie critiquing Hofmeyr, or the latter quoting Apartheid-era numbers (likewise extrapolated in my 2011 book)? I’d go with Hofmeyr.
