Updated: South African Police Rounds Up 'Right-Wing Militia'

What goes for the reconstituted South African Police Force, a corrupt, illiterate, and ill-trained force, riven by feuds, fetishes, and factional loyalties, is organized enough to go after “right-wing militia.”

Taking a page out of the unholy American hymnbook, an extremist—in the eyes of the law and the propagandized at large—is any patriot who doesn’t approve of pillage politics, loss of all individual liberties and, in the case of South Africa, a massive transfer of assets from owners to non-owners while, simultaneously killing off the former.

THE OUTRAGE HERE is that the arrest is linked to an email I too received, which did no more than speak of what is underway in South Africa and attach images of harpooned, raped, sodomized, skewered, white victims. Notice that the authenticity of the so-called subversive material has not been denied by the arresting authorities.

Here’s the report:

“APA – Cape Town (South Africa) South African police this week swooped on members of an extremist right-wing organisation, the Suidlanders, as part of an investigation into plans to sabotage the soccer World Cup, APA learns here Sunday.

Raids have taken place in Pretoria and Mpumalanga and come in the wake of heightened racial tensions after the murder of white supremacist leader, Eugene Terre’Blanche and the recent outbursts by African National Congress Youth League president Julius Malema. [No arrests of his ilk, so far.]

Earlier this week, the police also swooped on the Worcester home of Frederick Rabie, a former lieutenant colonel in the old civilian force commandos, in the Cape Province. He was arrested and police discovered an arms cache, including explosives and thousands of rounds of ammunition at his house. The bust comes a week after the arrest of the head of security at the Worcester Magistrate’s Court (in the Western Cape Province), Henry Harding, following the discovery of a cache of explosives, firearms, ammunition and drugs in underground storerooms at the magistrate’s court.

Rabie was given bail and will appear in court on Monday.

The police investigation into the suspected sabotage plot is linked to an e-mail calling on foreigners to boycott the World Cup that is being circulated worldwide. It talks of a war against white South Africans and carries graphic details and bloody photographs of white victims of crime. Claiming to reveal information suppressed by the South African Police Force (SAPF) and the media, the e-mail urges foreigners to stay away from South Africa during the World Cup.

Claiming that the country is on the verge of a full-blown revolution that would lead to civil war, the website says : ‘The time has come for people to realise they cannot be on the sideline any longer and everybody’s participation is needed to defend the last bastion of a true Christian nation against total annihilation.’

Sources this week confirmed that alleged plans by right-wing elements to ‘destabilise’ South Africa in the run-up to the World Cup were being taken “seriously”. Police spokesman Colonel Vish Naidoo refused to comment on the investigations, but said that the security forces were prepared for any eventuality during the World Cup.”

BACK HOME, AND according to William N. Grigg’s update on the Hutaree prosecution:

“the Hutaree defendants, U.S. District Court Judge Victoria Roberts provides extensive excerpts from the evidence. This includes redacted transcripts of conversations in which militia David and Joshua Stone, Michael Meeks, and Kristopher Sickles talk about killing judges and law enforcement personnel.

The ellipses littering the transcript are tangible evidence of cherry-picking by the prosecution.

Even orphaned from context, however, the recorded conversations don’t amount to evidence of a criminal conspiracy, but rather a tendency to engage in the worst kind of self-deluded, adolescent locker-room braggadoccio.” [sic]

UPDATE: I’m growing tired of the Comments Section always plumping for the Republicans, no matter how I and others have labored over the years to show that once in power, there is not an iota of difference between the parties. Really tired. Why should I advertise for the creeps? I’m also tired of adding links to my work to show that, for example, reports maligning patriotic Americans were begun under Bush.

“In response to CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux’s concern that the Arizona immigration-enforcement law, SB 1070, has made “a lot of people very angry, very upset” [a life threatening condition, apparently], the upstanding Antenori demanded: “What about my constituents whose homes are ransacked? What about the ranchers who’re shot at while patrolling their fence lines; whose cattle are being slaughtered ? there are millions of dollars of economic damages ? what about them? What about their civil right?”

Bad move.

Although not as rude as Chris Matthews and his malevolent MSNBC colleagues, Malveaux was only mildly interested. To grab her attention, Antenori ought to have begun what to Malveaux was a white, hot, racist rant with the story of a dog ? a dog that was shot by one frequent “visitor” to Arizona.

The same marauder who beat a retreat to Mexico killed the dog’s faithful companion, Rancher Robert Krentz. A pillar of the Cochise County community, Krentz had for decades raised cattle along the Arizona-Mexico border.

The violent death of a dog on the border is more likely than that of his owner to rate a mention in mainstream media.

State Senator Russell Pearce might also have mentioned a mutt—or even better, a Mulato family member—to justify the ‘racist’ law he sponsored

Washington does not want immigration laws enforced. And it matters not that its open-house policy is costing American lives and livelihoods. This applies to Barack Hussein Obama as well as to his predecessor, George W. Bush. …

Put more accurately: Arizona is doing the work Washington doesn’t want done. …”

Update I (April 30): BREAKING. Coincidence or way of life? Arizona “deputy shot by illegal immigrant.”

Update II (May 1): In my column, I mentioned that “One of the finest minds on matters pertaining to immigration and the Constitution is Kris W. Kobach.” The NYT, no less, ran an op-ed by Kobach, “Why Arizona Drew a Line,” refuting the misinformation put out by bimbos and politicos who’ve not read the law—the former because they can’t read (Shakira); the latter (American Civil Liberties Union/The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund) because they can get away with lying. He concludes:

President Obama and the Beltway crowd feel these problems can be taken care of with “comprehensive immigration reform” — meaning amnesty and a few other new laws. But we already have plenty of federal immigration laws on the books, and the typical illegal alien is guilty of breaking many of them. What we need is for the executive branch to enforce the laws that we already have.

On Nuking Nonnuclear States

HERE’S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN “CONSERVATISM”: Obama, who seldom does anything good, is “revamping American nuclear strategy to substantially narrow the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons.”

The only country to ever nuke hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians is committing to not repeat that shame. That’s a good thing, isn’t it? Not if you’re a fire-breathing GOPier or conservative.

They object to the following policy outline, which seems to me more than reasonable:

“For the first time, the United States is explicitly committing not to use nuclear weapons against nonnuclear states that are in compliance with the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, even if they attacked the United States with biological or chemical weapons or launched a crippling cyberattack. [Nuke a country for hacking into the state’s computers?! Are these people serious?]
Those threats, Mr. Obama argued, could be deterred with ‘a series of graded options,’ a combination of old and new conventional weapons. ‘I’m going to preserve all the tools that are necessary in order to make sure that the American people are safe and secure,’ he said in the interview in the Oval Office.
White House officials said the new strategy would include the option of reconsidering the use of nuclear retaliation against a biological attack, if the development of such weapons reached a level that made the United States vulnerable to a devastating strike.”

Today’s GOP is too dim to double check their lust for blood against what their oracle Ronald Reagan would have preached. This via Andrew Sullivan:

Updated: Liberty And The Civil Wrongs Act

“The Obama administration, like the gang it replaced, has intervened on the side of a mutant strain of affirmative action – a ‘race conscious’ admissions process practiced at the University of Texas at Austin, now being contested by two white plaintiffs. In case the conservative base reverts to its default position – a belief in the superiority of Republican tyranny – I’ll remind it that Bush had helped to legitimize this proxy-for-race admissions process at the University of Michigan Law School.

In what was surely a triumph of Clintonian triangulation tactics, Bush, in a 2003 legal brief, ostensibly challenged racial preferences at Michigan Law, while simultaneously encouraging, instead, the use of racial cue cards in the admissions process. For example, an applicant could hint heavily at having overcome hardship (‘such as having been shot,’ quipped commentator Steve Sailer at the time).

Housebroken conservatives will reach for the smelling salts at what I am about to say next – they do so each time an attempt is made to explore the effects on liberty of one overarching and overreaching bit of legislation. The culprit in these crippling codes for university admissions – and in hiring, firing, renting, and money lending – is the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the ‘most radical law affecting civil rights ever passed by any nation’ …

Update (April 4): I hope I have misunderstood Myron’s anti-South stereotypes. Myron seems to have great faith in the power of legislation to renew communities. Alas, the Civil Rights Act most certainly did not “transform” the South for the better. Someone has swallowed whole “HOLLYWOOD’S HATEFUL HOOEY ABOUT THE SOUTH.” The South of John Randolph of Roanoke and John C. Calhoun was aristocratic, if anything. The War Between the States destroyed a patrician way of life.
