UPDATED: The Fox Is Guarding The Chicken Scoop [Sic] (On Other Crypto-Leftist Conservatives)

Last week, the once relatively forthright Jim Pinkerton cheerily informed Fox News Watch viewers that the media did a bang-up job in covering the Boston bombing, when the truth was exactly the opposite.

This week, Mr. Pinkerton belatedly changed his story, recounting the embarrassment of April 17, which Barely A Blog reported well before Big, Dishonest Media did:

Over the course of a few hours today (April 17), the hysterical and histrionic US media—front men and women for CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and the rest—have gone from asserting the arrest of a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, to screening amateur images of their fantasy felon, to decamping to the courthouse in expectation of an arraignment, to confessing without a smidgen of shame that nothing of the sort had transpired.
We lied. OK, we fibbed. Let’s move on. Quick. There is to be no meta reporting about the misreporting.

Pinkerton went on to shill for Fox News, incorrectly crediting Megyn Kelly (I don’t care if I’ve misspelled her ridiculous name) with breaking the story about the brothers Tsarnaev as welfare recipients. Nonsense. As I chronicled in this week’s WND column, The Boston Herald did that shoe-leather reporting, not whatshername Kelly.

And as for the oozing over the odious George Bush: The entire Fox News Watch panel partook.

They call themselves “Fox News Watch”! It’s more like the Fox guarding the chicken scoop [sic].

Fox News mediated another magic meeting of the minds when it sent ditz Dana Perino to interview her ex-boss George Bush, who, sadly, has seen fit to emerge from hiding.

That chick is dumb.

Good for Tom Brokaw for refusing to attend the Annual White House Sycophants’ Dinner, held tonight. “It’s a sickening specter: Some of the most pretentious, worthless people in the country—in politics, journalism and entertainment—get together to revel in their ability to petition and curry favor with one another, usually to the detriment of the rest of us.”

UPDATE (4/27): MORE CONSERVATIVE CRYPTO-LEFTISM.

Mr. Pinkerton, who used to be a straight shooter, is an editor at The American Conservative. Recently, a prominent leader on the Old Right commented that TAC “has moved far to the left of The Nation.”

Yeah, Leon Hadar sounds as boring, redundant and ridiculous as Joan Walsh of Salon, when he suggests ever so subtly that Republicans “are hostile toward immigrants and toward Americans who are non-white and non-Christian.” (For a correction, read “The D-Bomb Has Dropped,” for example.)

You can locate a non sequitur in almost every one of Noah Millman’s lightweight, bloodless blogs. The eyes glance over the stuff in speed-read mode, savoring not a thing—not a turn of phrase or an original insight—as the mouth opens in a yawn.

Never boring, Larry Auster, RIP, was nevertheless not the rigorous “thinker” that a leaderless, desperate, dumbed-down traditionalist movement is casting him as, posthumously. But boy!, was Larry 100% perceptive in assessing, to quote Auster, the “founding editor of The American Conservative (known here as The Paleostinian Conservative), Scott McConnell, who has twice endorsed Obama for president yet continues to call himself a conservative.”

On this front, the 2006 “Final Solution to the Jewish State” preceded Larry in deconstructing the dissembling manner in which “TAC’s editor and publisher “introduc[ed his] readers to ‘Palestinian Liberation Theology.'”

Speak To Race In The Case Of Ria Van Straaten, Or Forever Hold Your Peace

Without addressing the racial angle, the story about the cruel trick played on 87-year-old South African pensioner Ria van Straaten is meaningless. If you’ve reported (as has The Raw Story), shared or provided commentary sans racial context as to how this frail, legally blind elderly Afrikaner was forced to sing for her meager supper, by ANC black state officials—you should speak up now or forever hold your peace.

In other words, shut up if honesty is not your journalistic policy.

Of course, the heroic South African journalist Adriana Stuijt has never made this mistake. As is her custom, she fearlessly reports the unvarnished facts. “[B]lack-state officials laughed uproariously as the old white woman sang ‘Happy Birthday’ in a trembling voice.” The “frail elderly Afrikaner woman, Ria van Straaten, 87, [was] forced to ‘sing for her R1200 pension’ over [a] PA-system at [a] government-agency in Newcastle, 2013-04-10, … before they would hand over her R1200 old-age pension.”

On doesn’t expect much by way of politically unpalatable honestly from The Huffington Post, MSN.COM, or UPI.

Ignorant invertebrates all.

To the libertarians, however, who take feeble intellectual refuge in merely implicating and condemning the abstract entity of the state I say: “grow a backbone.”

backbone-pn

The endemic evil of the state is a necessary but insufficient explanation for the joy black affirmative appointees take in socking it to whites in post-apartheid South Africa, a place where full-on racial hatred is a state religion.

Add the sweltering heat to the dangers of a sadistically, racist bureaucracy—and claiming a pension at the social security office is a dangerous excursion for old, white South Africans.

Serbs and Russians evil; ‘Bosnians,’ ‘Kosovars’ and Chechens Good
By Nebojsa Malic

Now that the Boston bombers have been identified as Chechen brothers, the question of their motive will be the next topic of media dissembling. I fully expect a whole battery of excuses, justifications, rationalizations and misdirection to try and make this into anything but jihad.

What other motive would there be? Not anger at US interventionism, for sure.

Almost from the very beginning, the West has been sympathetic to the Chechen cause – carving out an independent, Islamic republic from the Russian Federation. After initial successes, the Chechen rebellion has been rather effectively suppressed by the Putin government, to Washington’s great frustration. Western volunteers – some veterans of the Bosnian jihad – also fought in Chechnya. Leaders of the Chechen rebellion have been granted asylum in the UK and entry to the US. One would think the jihadists would not bite the hand that feeds them – except for the whole history of doing precisely that, from 9/11 to Boston.

Far from fueling an “Islamophobic” hysteria, the the U.S. government and the media went out of their way to spin the attacks over the years as anything but jihad. When Major Nidal Malik Hasan shot up fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood, the top Army general said damaging “diversity” would be worse.

When a convert calling himself Muhajid Mohammed attacked a recruiting station in Arkansas in 2009, the media almost didn’t cover it (focusing on an abortion doctor instead), and when they did, the motive was “unknown.”

Similarly, when Bosnian-born Sulejman Talovic shot up Salt Lake City mall in 2007, the lead detective on the case forbade his subordinates to mention jihad. Motive unknown, again, while Talovic was given a jihadist funeral in Bosnia, at Salt Lakers’ expense. The only reason Arid Uka, an Albanian who fired on a bus transporting US soldiers at an airport in Germany in 2011, killed only a couple of them was because his weapon jammed.

In Talovic’s case, the media spun it as anguish over the “Serb genocide” in Bosnia (!). Stories about Uka never failed to mention that Albanians “love America”. No doubt the mainstream media will now dig up some Chechens who similarly profess love for the United States’ in support of their cause. No mention will be made of Chechen suicide bombers who attacked Domodedovo airport in 2011, or the Beslan school siege of 2004, which killed over 150 children.

The Narrative must be preserved at all costs: Serbs and Russians evil, “Bosnians”, “Kosovars” and Chechens good. Islam is a religion of peace. If America champions Islamic causes, the Muslims will be grateful and embrace democracy (Sen. Joe Lieberman claimed the Albanian terrorist KLA fought for “American values”, while Rep. Tom Lantos called on “jihadists of all color and hue” to take note of US support for independent “Kosova”).

The more reality flies in the face of the Narrative, the more denied it will be. This cannot go on forever, of course. To all the innocents murdered in “inexplicable” acts of terrorism, that’s hardly a consolation.

UPDATE II: The Brothers Tsarnaev: ‘A Product Of An American Upbringing’

Education, IMMIGRATION, Islam, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Media, Propaganda, Russia, Taxation, Terrorism

Whereas America’s media will shed mostly darkness on the “apparently” mysterious motivation behind the ruthless, savage attack committed, in Boston, last week by two naturalized American Muslims—a Chechen leader has some interesting thoughts about these homegrown terrorists:

[The] Tsarnaevs … were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America.

The man has a point: A liberal, lax progressive education, emphasizing the wickedness of the West, the hollowness of its ways, and the righteousness of its “victims” does tend to breed rootless, hostile ignoramuses.

On the other hand, the US’s aggressive, unjust foreign policy doesn’t exactly encourage patriotism in the rudderless young people churned out by the public schools.

Barack Obama, naturally, had no qualms about following his instincts. These were to implicate anti-tax patriots for the slaughter in Boston.

Also to crumble was the storyline floated by media—faithful as it is to fact and evidence (NOT)—about white supremacists. The “White supremacist’ narrative has collapsed in the Texas DA murder case.” Likewise it has proven baseless vis-à-vis Boston. Yet the president’s un-American little helpers had no qualms about having fun with it:

Witness your tax-supported, trusted NPR Journalist who felt no compunction about suggesting that the Boston terrorist attack was the handiwork of “right-wingers celebrating Columbine or Hitler’s birthday.”

UPDATE I: “Some immigrants kill.” Lloyd Green with the standard equivocating one can expect from a Bush baby:

America has digested newcomers from all over the world. It is our history and one of our strengths. It would be tragic if we made one of our virtues a vice and weakness when caution should be our guide.

UPDATE II: “The Economist” embarrassed itself before the fact, implicating “patriot groups” that have proliferated since their Good Guy got back in office:

“Mr Obama’s re-election and his support for immigration reform and gun-control legislation, however ill-fated, have enraged this extremist fringe. The Southern Poverty Law Centre (SPLC), a civil-rights organisation that tracks and exposes the activities of right-wing extremists, says that outfits of this kind have proliferated during his presidency, from around 150 in 2008 to an all-time record of 1,360 last year (see chart).
The SPLC estimates that of those about 1,000 could be classified as “hard-core”, and thus by implication capable of violence. Among recent incidents, it points to the murder of six people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin by a neo-Nazi gunman last August and the rounding up, also last year, of a murderous militia group based in Georgia, which included several active-duty soldiers. According to prosecutors, the group, which called itself FEAR (Forever Enduring, Always Ready), had stockpiled $87,000 worth of weapons and explosives, and was plotting to overthrow the government through a campaign of terror and assassinations.”
