UPDATE II: ‘The Myth That Democracy = Freedom’ (Man Up As I Have!)

Constitution, Crime, Criminal Injustice, Democracy, Ilana Mercer, libertarianism, Political Correctness, Race, Racism, South-Africa

Written by Professor Tom DiLorenzo, author of The Real Lincoln, on the hugely popular, iconic, website of LewRockwell.com, there is a wonderful review of Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa.

“One thing that Into the Cannibal’s Pot demonstrates is that democracy alone is not at all desirable if it is not attached to a culture that highly values the protection of life, liberty and property. The new rulers of South Africa do not. South Africa competes with Iraq and Colombia for the title of ‘the most violent’ country of the world. The homicide rate in South Africa today is twenty times what it is in the U.S., as Mercer documents. A rape occurs every twenty-six seconds. The annual murder rate in South Africa has increased three-and-a-half fold since the ending of the reprehensible apartheid regime. There are more than 52,000 rapes/year in South Africa today, ten percent of which victimize infants because of the bizarre superstition that is widely believed there that sex with a virgin is a cure for AIDS…”

MORE.

A question that a reader had posed concerned secession. The reader took secession in the South African context (my book cites a classic book by that title published by the Mises Institute, and edited by David Gordon) to include only the Afrikaners. Of course, secessionists may include all people who are deemed desirable, no matter their color, religion or creed.

As I said on a radio show the other day, a secessionist state could incorporate any individual approved by by private property owners—blacks, whites, colored, Indians, pygmies, farmers, accountants, whomever—anyone with the skills and disposition property owners and their proxies saw fit to include in the arrangement. But a seceding state would defend itself vigorously against bad elements. I also wrote that it was not for me, an expat, to give territorial content to that state.

In addition, I made the point in the book that the much-revered South African Constitution is a horrible document; it has a section devoted to the “Limitation of Rights.” That section provides philosophical imprimatur to the destruction of property currently under way. I also make it clear that, whereby our overlords who art in DC flout the will of our Founding Fathers and our constitution—South Africa’s ruling, dominant-party-in-perpetuity is faithful, in a sort of sick way, to that country’s foul constitution and to the will of the majority.

UPDATE I (July 22): Westie: Would you put this exact comment you wrote hereunder on Amazon, please? The best way to raise awareness of the issues and the book’s angle is via Amazon. I appreciate and reply to every comment I get (a LOT!). But readers here already know the power of this pen. Let others know via Amazon.

UPDATE II (JuLy 23): MAN-UP AS I HAVE.

Cuan: As one of the few privileged individuals who’ve received a book for the purpose of writing multiple reviews—in the plural—is there any chance that you might actually finally share these insights where they will make a difference, on Amazon!!!??? That was an expectation that came with a review copy from a cash-strapped operation such is mine. It is the least a reviewer can do: simply copy and paste to Amazon these insights you keep posting on BAB (and others send to my email). On this forum, we understand what you and others keep repeating. What good does it do to speak in an echo chamber; to preach to the converted? What will it take to get you and the rest to do the right thing by this book and its mission?

This woman has manned-up. A few good men have. But where are the rest, especially the South Africans, who are best able to affirms their experience as captured in this book, at great cost (professional and other) to its author?

Darker Clouds On the Horizon

Affirmative Action, Barack Obama, Economy, Race, Taxation, Welfare

The dynamics Pat Buchanan describes in his latest column, “Black America vs. Obama?,” might very well be borne out: African-Americans will likely turn on the black president who was forced to slash the oink sector in which they are overrepresented.

Though 10 percent of the U.S. civilian labor force, African-Americans are 18 percent of U.S. government workers. They are 25 percent of the employees at Treasury and Veterans Affairs, 31 percent of the State Department, 37 percent of Department of Education employees and 38 percent of Housing and Urban Development. They are 42 percent of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., 55 percent of the employees at the Government Printing Office and 82 percent at the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency.
When the Obama administration suggested shutting down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the mortgage giants whose losses of $150 billion have had to be made up by taxpayers, The Washington Post warned, in a story headlined, “Winding Down Fannie and Freddie Could Put Minority Careers at Risk,” that 44 percent of Fannie employees and 50 percent of Freddie’s were persons of color.
In Washington, D.C., we have also seen the result of government cuts on African-American leaders who had to approve those cuts.
When Mayor Adrian Fenty stood behind schools chancellor Michelle Rhee, who fired hundreds of teachers, most of them African-American, the wards east of the Anacostia cut him dead. In 2010, Fenty was thrown out by many of the black voters who elected him

Is this is a welcome development? Hardly. (And I fully understand that Mr. Buchanan is hardly making such a claim.)

While coalitions of the aggrieved are good, where here is there a coalition for freedom-loving Americans to pursue? Fifty percent or so of Americans—those who pay the taxes—want the excesses of the oink sector curtailed. The African-American cohort Buchanan cites wants these programs to carry on in perpetuity.

It’s possible that Mr. Buchanan is simply warning that African-Americans are just going to get angrier and angrier.

Sacrificing Kids To PC Pietism

Conservatism, Crime, Ilana Mercer, Political Correctness, Propaganda, Race, Racism, Republicans

The excerpt is from “Sacrificing Kids To PC Pietism,” now on WND:

“After brief observation, here is how an alien from deep space would puzzle over the creatures who, by dint of a miracle, still dominate the Western world:

This prototypical man is flabby in body and mind. He is fearful and easily cowed. He erupts in tears at a drop of a hat. He is gripped by the culture of apology and flagellates over sins he has not committed.

His eternal state of expiation is driven not by goodness, but by insufferable self-righteousness.

This archetypal man forgives unspeakable violence against himself and those he is obligated to protect. He would not hurt a fly, much less repel a foe.

An astute alien would notice that, in this regard, there is not a dime’s worth of difference between the ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’ earthling. Both insist on catering to and enabling organized entities – in politics and in other crime – that despise them for their abilities and frailties, and instinctively seek to harm them.

These hostile identity groups segregate themselves voluntarily from the Western weakling, something our alien well-understands. He himself has little respect for a people that enables evil as a matter of principle. (However, to his superiors, the alien in this parable will be recommending not conquest, but cooperation. It better fits with his civilization.)

Flash- feral mobs flood places of commerce across the once-great country of America. What does the overwhelmed creature under observation do? ‘Conservative’ or liberal, he refuses to finger his assailants.

Instead, his experts implicate abstractions (“risk-taking”), and his media mouthpieces (The Huffington Post and Fox News) point to technology such as social media. Yet another, least logical, bogus causal agent invoked (at the American Thinker): the racism of the Democratic Party.

Not only does this generic Joe refuse to identify his proud, empowered attackers, but he rejects the possibility that they act out of ingrained animus for his kind.” ….

My new book, “Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa,” is available from Amazon.

That includes the Kindle, e-book version, as well. Please note that you can purchase the lower-cost Kindle copy of “The Cannibal” without having to own a Kindle – all you need is a PC. This hyperlink describes the free Amazon software application for the PC. So you do not require a gadget to read the book on Kindle.

The print copy is available from the Publisher too. Hurry: Publisher is currently offering free shipping, including to our readers in South Africa. To purchase, click on the “Buy From StairwayPress” Button.

A good way to help this work’s mission is to post your reviews to Amazon. Us talking among ourselves will do nothing to raise awareness of the issues covered in depth and in detail in the book. And you don’t have to have purchased the book from Amazon to review it on the site.

Man up!

UPDATE IV: The Hue of Hatred (Glenn Looks Away)

Africa, Crime, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Race, Racism, South-Africa

This is the hue of hatred in America, and in South Africa, as I document in my book, Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa (release date: May 10). I back this claim with lots of numbers. Watch this clip, if you can tolerate the focused, feral drive to extinguish a manifestly helpless, fragile young woman (hat tip to my young, Facebook friend Laura Fer):

Here is the transcript appended to the LiveLeak.com footage:

Here is another fine example of the trend of violence in fast food restaurants. Two females beating the hell out of a patron, while several employees stand by and watch. One male manages to provide the facade of assistance to the victim in this brutal attack.
The two females exit, then re-enter the store to continue the beating, until a an older woman attempts to stop them from dragging the victim outside into the parking lot. Note: the male employees have disappeared from camera view, even though they are plenty well capable of stopping the attack.
At the end, the white victim is beaten until she has a seizure, at which point the camera operator warns the female attackers to flee, because the police are on the way. Note: he makes sure to repeatedly tell the criminal attackers to flee, instead of keeping them there for the police to apprehend.

I expect the main objection to my characterization here to come from the prototypical liberal male. That’s been my experience, over the years. The “one-case-anomaly” “argument” will, invariably, be voiced by an ignoramus—a male with left-liberal instincts. There is almost nothing more immoral and unnatural than this specimen, for he misplaces compassion and forsakes the true–and most vulnerable—victims of aggression. In short, he is not a man.

When you condemn Al Sharpton or other such race baiters, remember this: the dangerous delusions about racism held in contemporary America are promulgated by WASPs. And, as night follows day, the progressive policies enacted by such people have led to a regressive society.

Dangerous racial hatred in contemporary America, and certainly in the New South Africa, is, for the most, unidirectional: whites do not harbor hared for blacks. And if they do, they seldom act on it like this.

UPDATE I: That the victim of this crime is allegedly a transgendered woman will allow the authorities, and the assorted identity activists, to skirt the real issue—a crime of racial hatred—and make it a crime motivated by homophobia.

The legal category of hate crimes is ludicrous; it should not exist. However, one should not confuse or conflate an objection to prosecutions granting legal privilege based in race, sexual orientation, or religion, with valid observations made about racism in the West. Crime statistics show quite clearly who hates whom.

UPDATE II (April 24): Cross-posted on Facebook: Many people pointed to the need to be armed in this situation. I agree, on principle. But you do know what would have happened to this poor waif of a girl had she been armed. The goons of government would have tackled her, tazed her, maybe hurt her just as badly, only …. LEGALLY.

UPDATE III: American TV news failed to report this crime; the newspapers finessed the onlookers’ indifference. The Mail Online tells it as it is, and does not fail to identify the culprits as “the black girls”:

The victim of a sustained attack in a Baltimore County McDonald’s has spoken for the first time about the beating she received, and how nobody came to her aid. Chrissy Lee Polis, a 22-year-old transgender woman, said she was afraid to go outside after the attack, and hinted that it might have been racially motivated – as both of her attackers were black.
She said: ‘They just hurt me really bad, and I’m afraid to go outside now because of stuff like this.’
She said the violence kicked off after she had used the ladies restrooms in the McDonald’s outlet, but denied reports that this was the reason why the violence erupted.
She said of her attackers: ‘They just seemed like they wanted to pick a fight that night.’
She said she was approached by one of the girls, who accused her of ‘looking at my man’.
When Miss Polis insisted that she was not even aware of the girl’s partner, the physical abuse began with the girl spitting in her face.
She said: ‘She started ripping my hair, throwing me on the floor, kicking me in my face

UPDATE IV (April 25): Glenn Beck took credit for speaking out, of course, when he is late to this story; it’s been on the blogosphere for days. He also blamed the general state of Godlessness for the crime and for onlookers’ indifference and approval. Above all, Glenn looked away with the rest when he had the opportunity to speak openly about real racial hatred (physical aggression), as opposed to impolite and impolitic speech (noose hanging, writing, etc).
