Here’s one telling sign: A campaign that arose to address profound issues of political philosophy begins to front spokespersons for the purpose of bowing-and-scraping to mainstream muckrakers and race-baiters. That’s one way of telling that the Tea Party is being schooled and groomed for grimy politics as usual. …

… In fiction, the Orwellian Ministry of Truth is a reified entity. In reality, there isn’t one concrete ministry that decides how the nation thinks—there are many such entities. The NAACP is one of America’s many Ministries of Truth. Like the rest of them—the education system, most churches, the ‘intellectuals,’ the ruling duopoly and their attendant bobbleheads—it issues countless edicts. ‘The dark art of rule’ required that the Tea Party bête noire be ramrodded. …

… Asked to choose between a politician who is a Philo-Semitic statist, and between one who hates Jews such as myself, African-Americans, albino pygmies, homosexuals, and women, but has a zealot’s commitment to liquidating the federal government—you know who’d be my pick.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, free college for quasi-literates, loans for agribusiness; the Departments of Transportation, Education, Housing and Urban Development, Energy; the “secretive totalitarian security cabal,” the Commerce Clause Capos who regulate cabbage patches in backyards, the warlords who wage war in Iraq, against tokers, and on toothless Pashtun primitives in Afghanistan—on-and-on to the tune of hundreds of trillions of depreciated dollars—any man or woman able and willing to beat back this beast, even if bigoted, has my blessing.

So long as my bigot has not acted on his justly or unjustly harbored hostilities toward society’s protected species—these hostilities should matter not one whit.

Public purges are designed to shape opinion in politically pleasing ways on pain of purgatory. By participating in these staged displays of outrage, the establishment Tea Party has, inadvertently, sanctioned the illiberal persecution of unpopular thought and speech.”

Meet Saint Shirley Sherrod

The following is an excerpt from my new WND.com column, “Meet Saint Shirley Sherrod”:

“‘Expectations tend to be self-fulfilling,’ said an anonymous wag. Expect nothing and you’ll get nothing. Except very little and that’s all you’ll get. In modern-day USA, a kid so much as dials 911 in an emergency, and he is decorated for bravery. And if an African-American rejects her birthright, and demonstrates less prejudice toward whites—she is up for beatification.

Repudiate this elevated ethical standard, and a deranged, fulminating Keith Olbermann will pelt you with a panegyric on the imagined martyrdom of one Shirley Sherrod, now the most celebrated public servant in the United States, and perhaps the world. …

… Keith Olbermann is a crude pamphleteer who imagines himself a modern-day Emile Zola. Most recently, the anchor has sunk to the level of fraud and falsehood in comparing Ms. Sherrod—a contemporary black woman, who has, hitherto, enjoyed safe and secure sinecure in liberal, post-Civil-Rights-Act America—to Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a nineteenth-century Jew living in illiberal France, falsely accused of the worst military breach possible.

The similarities are as startling as Olbermann’s leveling logic.

In 1894, this patriotic Frenchman was charged with spying for the Germans. Dreyfus was tried and convicted of treason with no due process of the law. He was sentenced to a lifetime on Devil’s Island, a penal colony in South America. There, Dreyfus languished until 1899. Outraged at the miscarriage of justice, French writer Emile Zola penned a stirring tract, ‘J’Accuse,’ in defense of Dreyfus, who was eventually exonerated twelve years after his ordeal began.

Dreyfus’s fate clearly mirrors that of Sherrod. Especially glaring are the parallels between Sherrod’s 48-hour, celebratory ride on the cable news merry-go-round, and Dreyfus’s four-year romp around Treasure Island, in French Guiana.” …

UPDATED: Are You Or Aren’t You Racist

That’s the question—the defining existential question in a world that lives under the tyranny of political correctness. This form of terrorism means that for violating correct thinking one can find oneself fired, ostracized, branded, libeled, robbed of property and peace, and even confined in certain “free” countries.

Mirroring this reality is Obama’s ludicrous statement, in the wake of the murder of “at least 74 people … in blasts targeting people watching the World Cup,” about the handiwork of terrorist outfits such as al-Qaeda and al-Shabab. The BBC reveals (they must think this is a worthy, because politically profound, news story) that,

“What you’ve seen in some of the statements that have been made by these terrorist organisations is that they do not regard African life as valuable in and of itself.”

BHO’s statement was complemented by an administration cretin, who said:

“al-Qaeda is a racist organisation that treats black Africans like cannon fodder and does not value human life”.

Plain murder? Forget about it. Committing murder is secondary to harboring racism. Committing murder while racist—-nothing could be worse than that.

UPDATE: THE RACIAL REALITY is such that a blithering Beck has announced, after expatiating on the topic for two sessions, that the New Panther rants are not about race. They are about black liberation theology (and that’s not about race, right!) or hippies.

There are black and white Hitlers all around us, says Glenn.

Where is the suicidal white supremacist to situate himself outside a polling station in Atlanta, and call for the killing of black babies, in a non-racial way, naturally? The last white supremacist I got wind of was killed by a black supremacist.
