Trevor Noah And Barack Obama Get Together To … Complain

It’s quite telling that Trevor Noah, an inauthentic South African—he brings with him nothing authentic from the old country—is a household name in America.

Noah is not funny. He has no wit. He’s PC. He’s left-liberal. He’s a cliche. All the attributes that are needed in an imported talent. The Atlantic thinks nothing of a comedian being unfunny, writing that Noah is a “late-night host who will often choose to swerve away from an easy laugh in favor of a more even-handed dialogue.”

Time magazine is likely jealous of Noah’s access to Barack Obama, but it does at least correctly appraise his talent as “a host who’s been touted lately as both a combative interviewer and deep thinker [but] had little to say.”

Obama, with whom Trump has been too cozy, for some reason, told Noah that President-Elect Trump had invited a Russian hack attack, which, asserted Obama, had indeed happened. (Obama then went on to lament racism and colonialism and to remind us all why we can’t wait to see him exist center stage):

“What is it about our political ecosystem, what is it about the state of our democracy where the leaks of what were frankly not very interesting emails that didn’t have any explosive information in them … ended up being an obsession, and the fact that the Russians were doing this was not an obsession?” He said the emails were “fairly routine” but they got “breathless coverage” and were “depicted as somehow damning in all sorts of ways,” lamenting how emails overshadowed every single big policy issue.

AND:

… we have, by no means overcome the legacies of slavery and Jim Crow and colonialism and racism, but that the progress we’ve made has been real and extraordinary, if I’m communicating my genuine belief that those who are not subject to racism can sometimes have blind spots or lack of appreciation of what it feels to be on the receiving end of that, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not open to learning and caring about equality and justice and that I can win them over because there is goodness in the majority of people.”

White House press secretary Josh Earnest took a cue from his boss, Obama, and got in on the banana republic act, putting it out there, on Wednesday, “that ‘there is ‘ample evidence’ the Trump campaign both knew about and encouraged the actions behind the DNC hacks. Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager, blasted Earnest’s ‘irresponsible’ statement Thursday morning.”

“Rioting and looting: That’s what happens when there is protest, a lot of the times,” asserts the unfunny, South African, Trevor Noah, to Tomi Lahren. He is the imported host of The Daily Show. (After all, there are not enough left-liberal, black, talented comedians in the US.) She a young, pretty, enormously popular, rather humdrum, internet broadcaster. Nothing Lahren says is particularly original or controversial. Conservatives have been mouthing the “diversity of thought, not color” line for over 40 years.

And Noah: Rioting and looting happen in South Africa* all the time. When they happen here in the West on a regular basis; we worry about the rule of law and the future of ordered liberty.

Noah is not exactly fast on his feet, but then the right response to, “Why are you so angry,” a question he posed to Lahren, should have been: “There is nothing wrong with righteous anger.” Anger shaming is a common liberal tactic. See “TESTOSTERONE, Going, Going, Almost Gone …”

Does this tedious Noah add anything original to the storyline of eternally oppressed blacks? Import a talent such as the late Christopher Hitchens. Not this idiot.

THE NEW COLUMN is “When America Becomes South Africa.” Excerpt:

 
… If African-Americans didn’t get out and vote for Hillary Clinton, they would be dissing him and his legacy. So warned President Barack Obama, in a speech at the Black Caucus Foundation in Washington DC, on September 17.

The woman whose election promises portend a war on whites, Walmart and the wealthy has nothing to fear. Obama’s political cant notwithstanding, there isn’t much of a chance blacks will side overwhelmingly with Hillary’s rival.

Like never before, the 2016 election has been characterized by “a muscular mobilization of a race-based community, coercive control of territory and appeals by powerful charismatic leaders.”

What do I mean by “coercive control of territory”? Consider what would transpire if Donald Trump were to campaign “big-league” in Birmingham (Alabama), Charlotte (North Carolina), or South Los Angeles. Riots would erupt. (Incidentally, the thing where private property is invaded and looted is not called a protest.)

As sure as night follows day, the American democracy is destined to resemble that of South Africa, where a ruling majority party is permanently entrenched, and where voting is characterized by what has become Barack Obama’s signature tactic, a “muscular mobilization of the race-based community.”

The last, twice-repeated reference is out of “Into The Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South-Africa.” In 2011, the book used the tragic example of post-apartheid South Africa to forewarn Americans of the effects of a shift in their country’s founding political dispensation, a shift being achieved stateside through immigration central-planning.

America’s political class has been tinkering with the country’s historical demographic composition for decades. The consequence of the mass importation of poor, Third World immigrants is that America, like South Africa, is headed to dominant-party status, in which a permanent majority intractably hostile to the minority consolidates power, and in which voting along racial lines is the rule.

It used to be that the Democratic Party was this nascent majority’s political organ, offering a platform of preferential policies for a voting bloc whose “interests are viewed through the prism of racial affiliations.” Obama’s Dreams from America are for a country in which the historic majority is destined to become a marginalized minority, consigned to the status of spectator in the political bleachers. Ditto Clinton’s dreams. But, as election year 2016 has shown, the Republican Party is vying for a similar mantle.

My Family Would’ve Been Barred From The US Without Mega Skills

My Family would’ve not been allowed to immigrate to the US had we met Donald Trump’s new immigration criteria. These are:

* Establish reality on the ground (gritty, man!), illegally until amnestied.
* Obey all the other laws, except immigration and labor laws.
* Get a low-skills job, commensurate with meager abilities.
* Receive more in government reimbursements than you contribute to the economy over a lifetime—someone with few skills might work hard, but overall, his existence is subsidized by taxpayers throughout his lifetime.

No! If the principal in our family had been without that Extraordinary Abilities 0-1 Visa and had been unable to prove—via patents, work record and testimonials vetted à la the First World—that he had skills unique and needed in the US—we would not be here. We left so many good people behind, in South Africa, who’ll never be allowed to so much as farm (for example) in the US, because white, poor, Christian and without desirable college degrees. I know South Africans who’d gladly sell their farms in SA and come and work on farms in the US. They’re far more culturally compatible, but they’re not as politically cuddly as the cohort Trump is told to court. You know why.

Media are referencing a townhall with Sean Hannity to accuse Mr. Trump of pivoting in a new direction on immigration. Media might have a case. Via TIME:

… asked whether Trump would support changing the law to “accommodate those people that contribute to society, have been law-abiding, have kids here,” Trump replied in the affirmative.

“There certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people,” Trump said. “We want people—we have some great people in this country.”

Trump, who has previously called for a “deportation force,” suggested he would not try to toughen the existing immigration statutes, calling the lawmaking process “brutal.”

“We want to follow the laws, you know, we have very strong laws in this country,” Trump said. “And you know Bush, and even Obama, sends people back. Now we can be more aggressive on that but we want to follow the laws. If you start going around trying to make new laws in this country it’s a process that’s brutal. We want to follow the laws of this country, and if we follow the laws we can do what we have to do.”

Trump’s new position appears to be an embrace of the status quo, in which those in the U.S. illegally with criminal histories are prioritized for deportation, but no action is taken to push forward with comprehensive reform. …
