UPDATED (3/9/021): Why MAGA America Has Reached The End Of Stupid-Party Politics

Conservatism, COVID-19, Donald Trump, Elections, IMMIGRATION, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Liberty, Republicans, Secession

The 2020 election, I marked with “a positive, anti-politics message to 74 million patriots,” in which the emphasis was on “creative, informal acts of secession.”

We have reached The End of Politics, or, at least, a tipping point in politics was my message. MAGA America ought to go into post-politics mode. It is a matter of urgency to understand the precarious nature in which the Deplorable voting block finds itself and develop a plan.  An adaptive post-politics reality would not be found in anodyne Republican assurances.

Consider: Your favorite pundit makes out like a bandit but offers you “no direction or solution other than to vote for the Republican politicians for whom they daily apologize. …

As you read this, the meaning of post-politics will become clearer.

We are, to all intents and purposes, two parallel nations, I argued. Why force MAGA America into the company of the loathsome Left? Slowly but purposefully we must congregate in compounds of like-minded individuals. Migrate we must to our own free-speech social networks. And withdraw we should from the Left’s miseducation system, primary, secondary and tertiary.

Commentator Jack Kerwick has been thinking deeply on the meaning of it all—the never-changing cycles of elections and the tension that keeps the duopoly going, at the expense of MAGA America. Excerpted here are the most poignant tracts in his latest thinking on what I’d frame as the end of politics and on an adaptive post-politics reality.

Key paragraph: All the horrors we’ve experienced of late have “occurred in a country with a Republican President, a Republican-controlled Senate, a Supreme Court dominated by Republican appointees, and a majority of whose state legislatures and governors are Republican.”

The writers and talkers of both the Big Conservative Media Complex (“the Big Con”), as well as lesser known libertarian and conservative outlets inexhaustibly wax hysterical about the impending and, to hear them tell it, imminent leftist Apocalypse—all while making fortunes, achieving fame, and, critically, supplying their followers with no direction or solution other than to vote for the Republican politicians for whom they daily apologize. …

Those who compose the Big Conservative Media Industrial Complex promote, tirelessly, the anxiety, depression, helplessness, and demoralization of the millions whose fears they exist to stoke.  To what end, one finally has to ask, for the only prescription these merchants of fear offer their customers (their audiences) is to vote Republican.  However, besides the fact that the leftward drift of the country has proceeded apace for decades, even while Republicans held power, the election thievery of 2020 should suffice to show that it is not now (nor has it ever been) possible to simply and solely vote one’s way out of this cesspool.

It is time for patriotic, God-fearing men and women to focus upon their own self-empowerment.  This means ridding their lives, as much as it is possible to do so, of all potentially toxic influences.  This, obviously, requires the expungement from their orbit of all Democrat Party propaganda organs, those which President Trump rightfully referred to as “fake news,” but, as well, that of the conservative (and libertarian) media outlets that, in their way, also purvey fake news. (“BE STRONG–and Live WELL.”)

(“Of Fraudulence and Fear: The GOP/Big Conservative Media Machine“)

And from Post-2020: The Time for NeverGOP“:

… your average conservative [must move] beyond his comfort zone and adopt a mindset dramatically different in many respects from anything that he has ever experienced before. It will require the average conservative to liberate himself from the Matrix, the Fake Reality that has been concocted by the Big GAME (Government-Academia-Media-Entertainment) Complex and to the construction of which the Republican Party and Big Conservative media axis has contributed much.

… There is mountainous, incalculable, ubiquitous evidence that the country has steadily moved, and continues to move, leftward.  Due to space constraints, however, I won’t bother going back decades.  I’ll keep it simple and just focus on…2020.

Consider all that has occurred since just last March:

Almost overnight, the country bequeathed to us by the generation that, in the midst of a smallpox epidemic, fought and defeated the most powerful empire in the world in order to be a self-governing union of sovereign states—subjected itself to a nationwide internment.

The United State of America became the Interned States of America as the Constitution of the Old Republic was indefinitely revoked, the economy crushed, and “the little platoons”—as Burke referred to those buffers between the individual and the State, those forms of community constitutive of civil society and in the absence of which human flourishing would be impossible—were radically undermined. …

… And all of this occurred in a country with a Republican President, a Republican-controlled Senate, a Supreme Court dominated by Republican appointees, and a majority of whose state legislatures and governors are Republican.

Then, but two months after the Internment began, Black Lives Matter and Antifa violence exploded throughout hundreds of American cities. Police stood down as they and, crucially, their supporters were victimized by thugs.  The White House itself was besieged as monuments to American heroes and other symbols of Western civilization were vandalized and destroyed with impunity while both the street vermin who were directly culpable for the destruction as well as the vermin who funded this campaign escaped the punishment that they deserved.

And all of this occurred in a country with a Republican President, a Republican-controlled Senate, a Supreme Court dominated by Republican appointees, and a majority of whose state legislatures and governors are Republican. …

“The Republicans, along with Big Conservative media, not only didn’t prevent it; they encouraged it.”

Yes, MAGA voters handed the Republicans the presidency and both legislative chambers. There is nothing more voters can do.

So, why exactly is it imperative to vote Republican?  How, exactly, will Republicans stop the left, and stop them from doing what, exactly?  These are the questions that honest people, and honest conservatives, must ask themselves—even though the questions are self-evidently rhetorical. ” (“Post-2020: The Time for NeverGOP“)

UPDATE (3/9/021):

The GOP is RIP to me: Typically, Sen. John Kennedy, with his contrived Southern act (he’s Ivy League) and rehearsed, overwrought cracks, puts Trump’s party back decades, tells “Fox News Primetime” host Trey Gowdy that Americans love 1 million legal immigrants coming in annually, object ONLY to illegal, Biden-created chaos on border.

UPDATED (1/22): NEW COLUMN Offers A Hardcore Libertarian Take On The Storming Of The Capitol Building

Free Speech, Government, libertarianism, Liberty, Paleolibertarianism, Political Philosophy, Private Property, Taxation, The State

NEW COLUMN, “About Those Citadels of Statism (I Mean, Democracy),” examines the attack on the Capitol Building from the perspective of the “rock-ribbed libertarian—as opposed to the lite, establishment libertarian.”

For now, you can read it on WND.COM and the Unz Review.

An excerpt:

… A certain kind of libertarian, the good kind, distinguishes clearly between those who, like BLM, would trash, loot and level private property—the livelihoods and businesses of private citizens—and between those who would storm the plush seats of state power and corruption.

For the State is an entity that, by definition, forsakes the legitimate defense of the lives, liberty and property of its citizens. The State’s standard operating procedure is to fleece us without flinching, all the better to fatten its members and, reflexively, to increase their sphere of influence.

Libertarians who live by the axiom of non-aggression will always prefer the man who proceeds against the State, governed as it is by force, to the man who destroys private property, rooted as that institution is in peaceful, just, voluntary transactions.

There, I’ve said it!

It’s no secret that rock-ribbed libertarians—as opposed to the lite, establishment libertarian—view the State, certainly in its current iteration, as a criminal enterprise. For it operates with force and without the consent of the governed. …

… Truth be told, to the non-statist libertarian, those “citadels of democracy” mean very little that is good.

Our country is not to be equated with our Capitol. …

… READ THE REST.  NEW COLUMN, “About Those Citadels of Statism (I Mean, Democracy), is on WND.COM and the Unz Review.

Again Miss Mercer, solid and on target! Well stated! I am becoming a fan of your ability to see reality for what it truly is.

Kerry_C:

“this column is just so good and on the money, that I have nothing to add. This alone, ‘In contrast, the ragtag men and women of the MAGA movement stormed only the seat of power and corruption that is the State,’ is worth the price of admission.”

Uncle Ed

That was like a splash of cold water in my face. Thanks, I needed that.

This is perhaps the BEST column I’ve ever read in a long time.

The bolsheviks’ reaction to the riot at the capital It reminds me of a line from the musical “1776”,

“A rebellion is always legal in the first person, such as “our rebellion.” It is only in the third person – “their rebellion” – that it becomes illegal.”

How To Think And Act Like A Ruthless Warrior By Jack Kerwick

Argument, Conflict, Crime, Just War, Liberty, War

“Virtuous people become virtuous by acting virtuously. Similarly, one becomes a warrior by acting like one. The Warrior Within envisions himself crucifying, without mercy, the monsters of his choosing.”—Jack Kerwick

Warriors aren’t born. They are made.

This is the philosophy behind Warrior Flow Combatives, or Warrior Flow.

And a Warrior without Ruthless Intent is like a library without books or, more accurate yet, a square without four sides.

Ruthless Intent is nothing more or less than the will to crush the Enemy, those who would prey upon the innocent, into nonexistence.

To the end of cultivating this virtue—and, yes, it most certainly is a martial and moral virtue—physical training is necessary, yes. But even more importantly, mental training is required.

To cultivate Ruthless Intent, the aspiring Warrior must routinely engage in three mutually supportive and equally essential activities: Self-Talk, Visualization, and what Warrior Flow refers to as “Visceralization.”

Self-talk requires one to pay meticulous attention to the inner commentary that the mind ceaselessly cranks out, for even when it is commentary upon happenings in the external world, it is, ultimately, autobiographical, it is self-commentary, for our thoughts on the world, our relationships with others, are inescapably colored and shaped by our experiences and memories.

We need to manage that “inner voice.”

Self-talk is inescapable. We are all incessantly speaking to ourselves, whether we realize it or not. There is scarcely a moment when, either through word or image, we aren’t communicating to ourselves. Past experiences, or our interpretations of those experiences, we have, in large measure subconsciously, weaved into an autobiographical narrative. As is the case with any other work, our self-story is necessarily selectively edited. Yet we confuse this highly redacted version of ourselves with our whole selves.

And we allow this abridged reading of ourselves to color our sense of reality.

Warrior Flow implores students to attend carefully to their Self-Talk. Moreover, they are to assume conscious control of it, to habituate their minds to thinking self-affirming thoughts. In the case of this combat art specifically, the Warrior-in-the-Making must begin thinking and living as if the future self that he wants to become is already a present reality.

It doesn’t demand much reflection to realize that this is indeed how we became whatever it is that we’ve ever become. If one wants to become a cook, one must first cook. If one want to become a dancer, one must dance. If one wants to become a football player, one must play football.

Aristotle, the most prominent of all virtue theorists, wrote famously on this subject. Brave men become brave by acting like brave men. Just men become just by acting like just men.

Comprehensively, virtuous people become virtuous by acting virtuously.

Similarly, one becomes a warrior by acting like one. And acting like a warrior means as well thinking like one.

Yet Aristotle knew that being virtuous was a matter not just of thinking a certain way, but of feeling the appropriate way. For instance, a courageous person is someone who knows what to fear and the extent to which he should fear it. The object of fear elicits the emotion or passion of fear within the body. The courageous person, though, experiences fear in the appropriate proportion.

The aspiring warrior must feel as the Warrior that he will become feels. As he regularly affirms his own physical abilities, his resolute acceptance of injury, and even death, in battle, and his equal resolve to incapacitate the Enemy by whichever means, with ruthless efficiency, his Self-Talk will necessarily be accompanied by visuals.

As with his Self-Talk, though, the Warrior Within must make sure that the activity of Visualization in which he engages is consciously directed. He needs to open up the reservoir of his imagination and unleash his creative powers as he envisions himself crucifying, without mercy, the monsters of his choosing. They could be real people or imaginary. They can be people who one has personally known or only those of whom one has heard. In any event, to cultivate Ruthless Intent—the conviction that predators must be reduced to prey, the raw, undifferentiated determination to instill within violent attackers the same unbridled terror that they sought to inspire in their victims—one must not only visualize, but visceralize.

Visceralization is a species of visualization. When a person engages in Visceralization, he doesn’t just see the object of his imagination; he hears, smells, and touches it, and he perceives it with all of his senses in painstaking detail. He visualizes it in what students of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) refer to as an “associated” way.

In other words, when associated visualization (visceralization) occurs, the visualizer doesn’t just form a mental picture of himself within the framework of the visual, as is the case when it is “dissociated visualization” that occurs. Associated visualization, in contrast, immerses the visualizer within the scene that he envisages, allowing him to enact it.

When a person visceralizes he experiences those emotions that he either once experienced, if he is in effect reliving a past event, or those that he would experience if the event that he visceralizes actually occurred. Physiologically speaking, the emotion felt in the body while visceralizing and that felt in response to a real world happening are one and the same. The brain doesn’t know the difference.

Specifically, when developing Ruthless Intent, an aspiring warrior must not only perceive his attacker or attackers in his mind; he must as well feel in the very marrow of his bones all of the contempt, the righteous indignation and fury with which he visualizes himself destroying the Enemy. Physiologically speaking, the feelings that he conjures while training are one and the same as those that he would have in a real confrontation. The brain doesn’t know the difference between the fantasy and the reality.

While immersed in visceralization, the aspiring Warrior can, for example, feel the flesh of the Enemy’s neck spontaneously with the sound of it snapping as he drives an axe-handed chop to it with all of the power that he believes is necessary for the purpose of cleaving the Enemy’s skull from his body. Beholding the (admittedly anatomically impossible) spectacle promises to go no small distance toward marshalling and channeling from within one’s pain, rage, fear, and disdain for the wicked.

I leave this to your fertile imagination, but there are practically limitless ways by which the Warrior-in-Waiting can visceralize visiting destruction upon the Enemy. Creativity in combat is a virtue of the Warrior. Yet it presupposes Ruthless Intent.

And to the end of cultivating Ruthless Intent, Self-Talk, Visualization, and Visceralization are imperative.
