A message to dissident America from Tucker Carlson (of the 2024 Trump-Tucker-ticket):

UPDATED (8/24): Kamala Says ‘There Is No Vaccine For Racism’; Yes, And ‘You Cant Fix Stupid’

Comedy & Humor, Intelligence, Politics, Propaganda, Race, Racism, The Zeitgeist

In that nagging, nasal intonation of hers, Kamala Harris lectures the country that, “There is no vaccine for racism.”

And Ron White, great satirist from the great State of Texas, taught us, “You can’t fix stupid. There is not a pill you can take, not a class you can go to. Stupid is forever.”

What a shame it is when “stupid” (if cunning) coincides with power.

UPDATED (8/24): Other stuff that comes out of Kamala’s mouth:

Kamala’s acceptance speech: Blacks. Browns. People Of Color. Minorities. My Mother. Me. Women. Racism. Me. Racial Justice. Systemic Racism X 100

Not a word for WHITES: not for poor or working-class or addicted pale people. Not even for the candidate’s Lilly white hubby.

Looks like Kamala Harris botched Emma Lazarus, whose construction of the sentence is probably grammatical. Not Kamala’s: “None us are free until all of us are free.” As I see it, it’s: “None of us is free until all of us are free.” None=Not One of us …

UPDATED (8/4/020): ‘Mercy For Animals’ Contaminates Worthy Message With The Illogic Of Racial Politics

Argument, COVID-19, Environmentalism & Animal Rights, Free Speech, Logic, Political Philosophy, Politics, Propaganda, Race, Racism, Reason

All good people would intuitively support “Mercy For Animals,” if the organization refrained from veering into racial politics. Such fuzzy, imprecise thinking, as expressed in this fortune-cookie quality notice above, will only serve to weaken the appeal of the worthy causes of “Mercy For Animals.”

In connecting the cause of animals with the “Black Lives Matter” production, “Mercy For Animals” has ridiculously and irrationally conflated unrelated issues. It’s akin to the epidemiologist who suddenly starts rabbiting about racism as a pandemic.

Racism is generally a thought crime—the crime of thinking politically impure thoughts.

COVID-19, the pandemic, is the spread of a physical, contagious disease that affects the body.

Logically, never the twain shall meet.

Aside from spouting irrational stupidity, such “medics” have crossed over into politics—policing thoughts, in particular—and should forthwith, as a result, lose all medical credibility.

Likewise, “Mercy for Animals” should stick to their needy charges: abused and misused animals.

UPDATED (8/4/020): No learning curve.

“Mercy for Animals” should not be muddying its laudable message and mission with political overtones. Leave off the racism, diversity doxology and such political constructs.

Animals don’t deserve to have their cause polluted. MFA will also lose supporters and donors who understand that a message not polluted by politics maximizes outcomes for the critters.

UPDATED (5/9): Kayleigh McEnany And The TV Gig Economy

Conservatism, Donald Trump, Politics, Race, Racism, Republicans

“Kayleigh McEnany Says She Called Out Donald Trump’s Comments In 2015 As ‘Racist’ Because She ‘Naively’ Believed CNN Headlines.” So blared a news headline. At the time, McEnany had said this:

“To me a racist statement is a racist statement. I don’t like what Donald Trump said. I don’t like what Al Sharpton said,” McEnany said. She had been commenting on Trump’s remarks labelling some Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists.

McEnany is a Republican, TV talking head. She said what she said about racism and Trump because, before she got this gig in the Trump administration, she believed it. In other words, it worked for her gig back then.

The deeper point is that Kayleigh McEnany was never party to the original, America First, Trump support group. There are none of those in the White House, Stephen Miller, senior advisor to Trump, excepted.

As America Firster Steve Bannon said, 2017/08/18: “The Trump Presidency That We Fought For, and Won, Is Over.”

McEnany is the Dana Perino of this administration. I’ll say no more. Unthinking partisanship being the rule in American politics, you’re not allowed to say anything about the sorry brain trust of the Republican Party.

UPDATE (5/9):  To guide or not to guide American companies and communities on how to open up safely? That’s the question. And the answer was: first silence, then, Nope, not quite yet, it can wait, maybe never, mañana:
