Alex Berenson Gets A Fail For Blackening Joe Rogan For His Impolitic, Impolite Speech

Conservatism, Cultural Marxism, Culture, Etiquette, Free Speech, Intellectualism, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, libertarianism, Media, Paleolibertarianism, Political Philosophy, Race, Racism

Serious libertarians and conservatives will study and absorb the following principles articulated about the thought crime that is racism and the attendant impolite and impolitic speech that often accompanies it:

  • “Racism—systemic or other—remains nothing but thought crime: Impolite and impolitic thoughts, spoken, written or preached.”—ILANA Mercer,‘Systemic Racism’ Or Systemic Rubbish?” August 6, 2020.
  • “Thought crimes are nobody’s business in a free society.”—ILANA Mercer,‘Systemic Racism’ Or Systemic Rubbish?” August 6, 2020.
  • “A lot of establishment libertarians and conservatives have joined the neoconservative and neoliberal establishments in the habit of sniffing out racists. Sniffing out racists is an absolute no-no for any and all self-respecting libertarians (and conservatives). True libertarians don’t, or should not, prosecute thought crimes or persecute thought ‘criminals.’ Period.”—ILANA Mercer, Big League Politics, Interview With Ilana Mercer, November 23, 2018.

Consider those fundamentals and, in commitment to liberty, you will shrug off Joe Rogan’s speech of many years back as rude and uncouth, albeit rooted in a realistic stereotype, and leave it at that—no more rude and uncouth than the plethora of “cracker”-hating, anti-white pejoratives emitted approvingly by blacks, who are cheered when they rail against a group that isn’t remotely associated with high crime and social disruption.

Rogan was referencing a video compilation that features him in various contexts using the racial slur. It also includes him comparing being in the presence of Black people with the film Planet of the Apes. The video has gone viral online and was highlighted by musician India Arie in an Instagram Story she posted Thursday.

Thus when Alex Berenson acts as a racism-spotting scold-–an old biddy deploying cliches like, “I don’t know what’s in his heart” (oh, fuck off; it matters not. Rogan is a peaceful, productive human being)—Berenson deserves and earns contempt.

Rogan’s use of the n-word – and that Planet of the Apes story – are indefensible and humiliating and will haunt him for the rest of his career.
Our woke revolution has brought lots of linguistic rules I’ll argue. Not this one. That word has a unique history and power that give it a unique ugliness. The only slur remotely close might be “kike,” though even it doesn’t compare.

Fox News darling Alex Berenson has a pattern—has already proven to be a self-promoting weasel, using a TV segment to try and take out Robert Malone, who shot him down with a smile, no sweat, like the high IQ, classy gentleman and scholar he clearly is. Watch.

For his part, Rogan must get off his knees and quit apologizing. He’s worth $100 Million (it is an intellectually impoverish market place that has resulted in that sorry reality).  Rumble is pleased to pay that sum–as well as reinstate his verboten speech removed by the illiberal scolds.

UPDATED (2/7/022): GoFundMe Threatens To Defraud Canadian TruckersForFreedom And Steal From Them

Argument, Business, Canada, COVID-19, Republicans

F-ck your promise of an inquiry (“we have questions“), Rep. Jim Jordan. When an alleged perpetrator–-GoFundMe-–operating across stateliness, is caught red-handed with private property stolen, you don’t plan on convening a congressional committee—always mere theatrics—to “question” him; you dispatch or coordinate the appropriate authorities to stop a crime in progress, liberate the funds stolen, apprehend the perps and bring them in for questioning.

THEFT IN PROGRESS
The infraction under discussion is, as mentioned, courtesy of GoFundMe, which had originally promised to “withhold millions of dollars raised for Canadian truckers protesting against vaccine mandates, citing police reports of violence. The Freedom Convoy has been rallying since last weekend, and more protests are expected in Toronto and Ottawa.”

Why the use of the terms theft and fraud? Why, it ought to be obvious: The GoFundMe fucks were 1. threatening theft of private property. 2. Perpetrating fraud by initially promising donors to act as a trust-worthy fiduciary and then violating that promise.

Fraud can be a federal crime. And there’s something audaciously both criminal and lawless about an organization operating across state lines, entrusted with donations—that’s GoFundMe’s mission statement—appropriating these funds publicly.

RIP, GOP
Most Republicans see their main occupation as waiting in Fox News’ Green Room. I have to finally concede, though, that unique among them is Governor Ron De Santis. He truly gets it. De Santis is a man who’s seriously attempting to govern in accordance with first principles, and is acutely aware of the systemic rights violations against the kind of Deplorables who support him.

He tweets:

It is a fraud for Go-Fund Me to commandeer $9M in donations sent to support truckers and give it to causes of their own choosing. I will work with AG Ashley Moody to investigate these deceptive practices — these donors should be given a refund.

Go-Fund Me Thieves won’t be fucking with De Santis.

Oh, and Maybe multi-billionaire Elon Musk will do more than tweet? He got rich off an industry wholly subsidized by taxpayers, the Commie Car racket. Would that he’d  show some noblesse obligé to his working-class benefactors.

UPDATED (2/5/022): NEW From Ottawa: Canada’s Truckers Are Sheer Unmasked Goodness

Canada, Constitution, COVID-19, Criminal Injustice

Our friend, who wrote “Dispatch From Ottawa, Canada: ‘FUCK YOU, TRUDEAU'”, sends another dispatch from the trucker’s frontline in Ottawa.

Writes David C, on February 3rd, 2022:

I went to Ground Zero this afternoon and chatted with some of the truckers and protesters. These are some of the best folks you will ever meet. They keep the place very clean and orderly, setting up garbage bags, shoveling the bit of show that fell overnight, salting the sidewalks to keep people safe. I even watched an impromptu street hockey game and signed on an improvised Stanley Cup. A fellow standing beside me thanked Trudeau because “…through his venom, he succeeded in waking people up and in bringing all the good-hearted Canadians closer…”

Beautiful to see all those unmasked people smiling, mingling, chatting, making Ottawa feel like a small town!

UPDATES:

Canadian Military tells Ottawa to find someone else to evict the truckers:

Who is this piece of human excrement, vowing to act against the People he took an oath to protect?

Trudeau marched with BLM, but hates on working class, largely white Canada.

Dispatch From Ottawa, Canada: ‘FUCK YOU, TRUDEAU’

UPDATED: Rex Murphy: ““A real Conservative leader would have given the truckers a hearing”:

This was not quite a “Joshua with his trumpet outside the walls of Jericho” moment. And considering the convoy and its leaders had rolled across half of Canada to get to Parliament Hill and have their voices heard, it seemed a little churlish that the leader of the Opposition should be prematurely selective of whom he would meet, and to rule out the site where his role is most prominent.

It is curious that so large an assembly of citizens with legitimate concerns, coming such a distance, have not even been given the simple courtesy of a greeting and a listen.

UPDATED (2/5/022): It has to be said: Canada is leading the Resistance, and, as Robert Malone, MD, says, “It’s a beautiful thing”:

A protest at the Canada-U.S. border crossing in Coutts, Alta. also remains ongoing. RCMP said protesters on horseback joined the truck blockade on Saturday, with more than 100 horses estimated to be there along with food trucks. Police say traffic is still moving in both directions across the border.

Just imagine if this was a BLM, Antifa crowd, whose causes, we’re lectured, are ever righteous. You’d have looting, murder, assaults, arson, theft, galore.

Truckers For Freedom are OUR people doing OUR bidding, making us proud and grateful.

GoFundMe ARE THIEVES. They are planning to distribute wealth/property not theirs. They are also engaged in fraud, having led donors to TruckersForFreedom2022 to part with their money believing #GoFundMeThieves were reliable, 3rd party fiduciaries.

Must-Read AMERICAN Novel: Blood Meridian, Or The Evening Redness in the West, by Cormac McCarthy

America, Art, English, Juvenal Early's Archive, Literature, Morality

“This is prose that is akin to a neo-archaic channeling of the King James Old Testament by way of Herman Melville”

By Juvenal Early

Cormac McCarthy’s novel Blood Meridian is, in the estimation of many critics, among the finest half dozen American novels of the 20th Century. The late Harold Bloom thought it the greatest novel since As I Lay Dying. Unlike no other novel in contemporary letters, the book has been called an American Iliad, also compared to The Anabasis of Xenophon. Published in 1985, Blood Meridian is a revisionist, maybe even a nihilistic, Western. It’s also an epic. If you want a sense of how the West was won, you will find no finer fictional work.

The Plot: A character known only as the Kid, born in Tennessee with a predilection for “mindless violence, in 1833, runs away from home at 14, and by 1850 finds himself in Texas. He takes up with filibusters—mercenaries—hired to solve the new state’s Indian problem. The Comanches and Apache had dominated the plains for three centuries. Texans demanded eradication.

The fictional Kid eventually joins the historical Glanton Gang, and falls sway to the gang’s philosophical leader, Judge Holden. McCarthy learned from his sources that the Judge was an uncommonly tall man, a completely hairless albino. In Blood Meridian, he turns the bare facts into the mythical. The Judge is perhaps the most nightmarish monster in all of fiction. Not Ahab but Moby Dick himself.

The Glanton Gang murders its way across Texas, Northern Mexico, Arizona, eventually to the sea. They take many Indian scalps (proof for the money men). They take non-Indian scalps too. Who can tell the difference? It all pays the same. In time, these bounty hunters will have a bounty on their own heads. Few are left by the end of the narrative.

Blood Meridian may be the most appallingly violent great novel ever written. Be prepared for several particularly graphic scenes but do stick with it. As Shelby Foote said, the book’s hero is the American Language, and here it is presented in prose that is akin to a neo-archaic channeling of the King James Old Testament by way of Herman Melville.

There is movement, always movement, mixed with a sense of place in Blood Meridian. Few have ever combined the two better than McCarthy. To take a random sample:

On the day that followed they crossed a lake of gypsum so fine the ponies left no track upon it. The riders wore masks of boneblack smeared about their eyes and some had blacked the eyes of their horses. The sun reflected off the pan burned the undersides of their faces and shadow of horse and rider alike were painted upon the fine white powder in purest indigo. Far out on the desert to the north dustspouts rose wobbling and augered the earth and some said they’d heard of pilgrims borne aloft like dervishes in those mindless coils to be dropped broken and bleeding upon the desert again and there perhaps to watch the thing that had destroyed them lurch onward like some drunken djinn and resolve itself once more into the elements from which it sprang.

How do McCarthy’s mercenaries talk? Aside from the Judge, they are as terse as a John Ford Western. But, oh!, when the Judge does speak, you hang on every word. Here’s a short speech he delivers about halfway through the novel. He expounds on the nature of God’s cruel universe and man’s place in it. It explains the book’s cryptic title:

If God meant to interfere in the degeneracy of mankind would he not have done so by now? Wolves cull themselves, man. What other creature could? And is the race of man not more predacious yet? The way of the world is to bloom and to flower and die but in the affairs of men there is no waning and the noon of his expression signals the onset of night. His spirit is exhausted at the peak of its achievement. His meridian is at once his darkening and the evening of his day.

Notice that the passage quoted contains no punctuation, save for periods and question marks. Commas appear infrequently in McCarthy, but little else. There are no quotation marks. Even James Joyce set his dialogue off with dashes. McCarthy assumes you’ll figure it out. You will. McCarthy’s oeuvre is all this way. He used 42 semicolons in his first novel and only one in the nine that followed. Most writers need a more formalistic approach. But I wouldn’t try to enforce Strunk and White on Homer—and not the modern Homer either. Art has no rigid rules, and Blood Meridian is high art. But don’t be intimidated by art. Blood Meridian is not particularly arcane. After four readings, I think it’s lucid—and exhilarating.

Does McCarthy take sides, Cowboys or Indians? We never really get to know the Indians. From the viewpoint of the settlers who hired the filibusters, they’re a problem to be solved. As for the Glanton Gang, it takes a tough bunch to solve a tough problem. I doubt McCarthy was concerned with questions of right or wrong—only about getting the story right. In that, he succeeds triumphantly. The reader—grateful for such poetic prose—can make of the ethical lessons what he will.

Cowboys and Indians alike, they are forces of nature, compelled to do what they have always done. The novel’s 3rd epigraph is your first clue.[i] Scalping didn’t originate in the Wild West of the 19th Century. The culmination of Blood Meridian could not be otherwise than what it is.

We would do well to keep this in mind as we go about assigning blame among our own ancestors.
